The Livermore Bike Skills Park Facebook Group is the central meeting place for our community to strategize, coordinate, and organize volunteers to do the real leg work to build a new bike skills park in town.
Ideally, the park will have a pump track, dirt jumps, Strider track, skills area and an observation area with shade and picnic tables.
The first step is to show support ("Like our page"), design and submit a proposal to LARPD, and research other bike parks to find out what works well and what common problems to avoid. Once the proposal is approved we will need community input on the park design, help with fundraising including potentially recruiting local businesses as sponsors, and plenty of volunteers to help with building and maintenance of the bike skills park.
