Living Faith Baptist Fellowship

Description

Our History

In the summer of 2004 a group of us began meeting in homes to support and pray for one another. Over the next several months we began to realize that God was forming us into a church. We held our first worship service in a carpet warehouse in the first Sunday in November of that year and signed out covenant the following January.

Our Mission

The mission of Living Faith is to encourage Christlikeness in each other as we seek to share the good news of God’s love in Jesus Christ with people of all cultures. Some of us are Republicans, some of us are Democrats, some of us are neither. We come form many different backgrounds, family situations, and education levels. We believe God calls us to be One in Christ.

What we Believe

We believe that each person is created after God’s own image. So, with the help of Jesus Christ, each person is able to approach God and read the Bible for them selves. Each one of us is called to caring for one another and our neighbors. We believe that Jesus Christ is Lord of our lives and Head of our church. So, we make church decisions together by seeking to know what Christ would have for us to do and to be. When deciding who will serve in leadership roles we consider how we are unique gifted with talents and do not consider gender, race, or social status as barriers to leadership and service. The Bible is the record of God’s love for us and is our central guide for our faith. We believe the best way to do God’s will in God’s world is to partner with all kinds of people and to keep church and state separate.

If you do not already have a church home, we would love for you to join us. Living Faith has ministries available for the entire family. We would welcome the opportunity to get to know you and include you in some of the ways we serve our community. Come and be our guest this this Sunday!

Living Faith is now in their new building atop 12 acres. There is a community garden, a prayer garden and the beginnings of an outdoor children's activity area. The building is very pretty, very functional, and adaptable to multiple uses. The congregation and administration seems quite engaged with the Elizabethtown community and its needs.
Loving and welcoming church family.
Accepting of all--they really mean it!
