My family and I have been to quite a few aquariums around the US at this point, and this one is by far one of the best! The habitats and tanks are all very clean and well maintained and the animals all seem happy. The layout is fantastic. Separated by region, it allows someone to really immerse themselves in the differences of species and habitats in each area. My favorite exhibit was the honey bees! So cool to see them in action up close. There are also several interactive exhibits for the whole family, and specifically my small child enjoyed each one. The virtual experience is definitely worth doing, even if there is a wait. Go for it!
Worth it. This was a really unique experience for me because of the exhibits they had. They had so many plants and a dessert place. All these various environments you can find in various places in Utah. It is a bit pricey. Definitely check out the virtual reality experience. It was such a fun thing I’ve never done before. Very family friendly! Perfect for dates.
Beautiful place to be. Learn about the sizes of the fish and sharks. Walk with them and even pet the stingrays. Best place to have a date or take the kids. Absolutely loved it and plan to be back once that extension is done. Very excited for that!
Real pricey, but worth it. Definitely buy tickets in advance if you know you want to go on the website you can buy cheaper tickets up to 3 or 4 weeks in advance. But my kids had a great time looking at all the exhibits and playing on the playground outside. The jungle gym inside cost extra, but is worth the couple extra dollars. It’s super fun for kids and helps them get their energy out.
This aquarium was gorgeous. It was clean and the staff was helpful and friendly. There were lots of children there under 4 and all seemed to have a blast. My family of 3 had fun. My 2yr old did get a little overwhelmed at the amount of people who were there. We sat in the mothers room for a good 20 minutes to calm down. I would definitely go again!
One of the best aquariums we've visited! The exhibits are beautiful, the variety of animals from around the planet is quite impressive! There are several play areas for the kids and lots of interactive activities indoors and outdoors! The staff are kind, helpful, and informative, and eager to share their knowledge with all!Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entry$21–30
IMPORTANT: Plan your EECO Voyager show when/before you get there. We tried to do it, but we didn't discover it was even a thing until we had to leave, and therefore couldn't squeeze it in. It's included in your admission, but you need to have a reservation, so ask about it as you enter. We finally went to this aquarium and we were super impressed. I saw so many things here that I've never seen elsewhere. The sea-life is awesome, but equally impressive are the life-sized replicas or wall decals of large deep-sea animals, like the huge sunfish or the sperm whale in the deep-sea area. The shark tunnel was the best I've been in, and actually made you feel like you were underwater. Also a good assortment of non-marine life, our favorite being the macaw and sloth. Definitely worth the money.
I love this aquarium! I've been here multiple times, and they are always so kind, and helpful, and the animals are all always very obviously well cared for. Their enclosures are always clean, and the animals all look well fed and cared for. My most recent visit, I brought my friends with me, and one of them brought their service dog along. The staff were all kind and professional regarding my friend's service dog, and the place is friendly for disabled people. I definitely recommend this place if you haven't already visited!
My first visit. I took my senior parents and my 8 year old nephew and we spent over two hours. Great place to chill by yourself or take your family. Lots of species to look at and the signs are easy to read. Would go again if in the area.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNot surePrice for adult entry$16–20
This was our first time visiting The Living Planet Aquarium since they moved this location. It was about $107 for my family of four to go into the aquarium. I would recommend buying your tickets online as the line for buying tickets is long! Once we got in we had so much fun! They have different exhibits around the world and even one for Utah. The penguins were so fun to watch and the staff was so helpful and very informative. They have two touching pools which the kids loved. The sloth was out and moving and it was so fun to see. The cloud leopard was not out and the staff did mention if you wanted to see her out and moving to some in the morning. We did come from 4-6pm. We will definitely be coming back more during the summer.
