Our family's legacy of producing and sharing fine wines continues in our new hometown of La Jolla.
"Owners Anne & Lowell Jooste relocated to La Jolla from Cape Town, South Africa in 2012 where Lowell was 4th generation in the wine industry. Inspired by the growler concept in the San Diego beer world, LJ Crafted Wines opened in 2016. Colleagues from Lowell’s studies at UC Davis and work at Robert Mondavi Winery guided them to source grapes in Napa & Sonoma and make their wine in Napa Valley. The full barrels are shipped to La Jolla and using their patented equipment, their wines are served directly out the barrel by the glass or into re-useable growlers. Up to August 2020 this concept has saved 105,000 single-use wine bottles from production and disposal. Small bites are served."
