This place was a shock to me. Many of the shops were empty, looked deserted, specially at level 1. A good number of toy, comic book shops were here. Few options for food and gifts. There was an ice skating rink that kept the place lively. More Fast food places were available on topmost level. Restrooms were available not very well maintained. Ross entrance at level 1was closed and can only be accessed by level 2 entrance. They had a big parking lot so parking should not be an issue. It might not be a good idea to roam around when dark.
The Lloyd Center is a modern shopping mall but in the process of being abandoned. Most stores and major retail chains are closed. The food court has few restaurants and is not very lively. The movie theater is closed. Only the Ice rink maintains a bit of animation and attraction.
The troublemakers are gone but so is the original Mall feeling, I grew up going to this mall, it is so sad it is almost a ghost town. But I see plenty of ice skaters every time I visit and it looks like everyone is having lots of fun, last Christmas they did not hold back on the decorations throughout the mall and over the ice rink, it was a perfect holiday atmosphere.
Sad to see such a large mall with most of the shops closed and out of business. Nice area to skate. Only a handful of places to eat. Lots of parking but with an empty mall who need a large area. Close to the Max train.
While a lot of stores are closed and COVID was not nice to any business, this mall is still beautiful. Very clean and bright. The ice rink in the middle of the mall is the attraction. Claw City is a very fun place. $1 for one round as of this writing. I don't know how long this mall will last because malls in general are slowly dying. Still a great place to walk around for exercise and taking pictures for time capsules sake.
We were there recently for a private ice skating party. Everyone had a great time. The Ice Rink staff were great hosts!
Ghost town. Glad I was able to experience the mall era before the digital age. It was fun going w/ friends back in the day.
I will be back with more pictures, but I love what they've done with Lloyd Center Mall. It may have been nearly empty, but it is like nerd central now, which we love. So many of our fandoms are represented. Books, comics, manga, cards and collectibles, Lego, tchotchkes...it's amazing. And there's an ice rink!
Massive mall but not many operating stores or food. Ice ring is awesome and interesting 3rd floor
Interior was very clean and well kept. The ice skating rink is still there, and parking in the parking garages was very easy. However, the mall itself is like a ghost town. Some of the stores such as GameStop that are still there can be busy, others not so much. Stores are often few and far between due to all the vast sections of empty retail space. This used to be a crowded and bustling Mall, but now it's a ghost town. It's a mostly empty mall, and it's a reminder of the modern retail landscape.
