Haven't been to Lock 3 since before the pandemic. It's been rearranged as they're rebuilding it, but it worked out well. Went to see "Dirty Deeds" an AC/DC cover band...and they rocked the house! Perfect night weather-wise, fantastic music...even the opening band, "Walking in Circles" was great...and the topper? Post-game fireworks from the nearby Rubber Ducks game! All in all one of the best night's I've had in a very long time!
Last night, Hot Blooded Foreigner Tribute and Escape Journey Tribute played to a packed house at The temporary Lock 3 venue behind the Civic Theater. The city is reconstructing the old lock 3. Both bands played fantastic shows and sounded much like the original bands they covered. Restrooms: Plenty of port-o-potties set up for the large crowd. Picnic area: You can bring food and snacks right to your seats.

Temporary location, can't wait until the new site is complete. Great concerts and fun atmosphere. ABBA Mania is always a fun concert.
by far the best concert venue in NE OHIO! have been a regular for the past 15years. most concerts are free as is the parking. great music and food. good energy flowing and the staff always friendly and helpful. photo is from the AC/DC tribute band=Dirty Deeds :
Lock 3 is so much fun! We went to see A Hard Day's Night - we hadn't been in a few years to the Rock the Lock. Good selection of beers to choose from two types of Thirsty Dog on draft, Mike's Harder, etc. And there were a few food trucks this weekend. I ordered from Stray Dog and got a vegan Italian and it was *chef's kisses* If you go to Rock the Lock bring a chair and a blanket and spend the evening here - it's so much fun. Easy parking in garages nearby!
Great venue for live music rock on the lock as well as baseball family walks and viewing the water features. Yesterday there was a autism event that raised more than 100k. Versatile venue for just about anything.
Lock 3 is a fantastic place for concerts. It is an outdoor venue located right next to the Akron Civic Theater on a Lock/water way. There is a large lawn area and most people bring their own folding chairs or blankets to sit on. There are a few permanent benches but you would have to get there really early to get those. There are also paved areas off to one side of the amphitheater that serve as a balcony type area for your folding chairs. There are food and alcohol/beverage trucks. There is also a building that sells food and alcohol/beverages and this building has real bathrooms in it. There are also port a potties. The sound is excellent and most concerts are free. There are numerous restaurants within walking distance. I LOVE Lock 3.
Totally love it!!! Reminds me of a South Florida venue. Saw Dirty Deeds AC/DC tribute band. Totally rock. Attitude opened up...very good as well.. Check out Baxter's Bar also right across the street. Very cool owners and beautiful bar.
Rib cook off was great. Food processor pretty good to and people taking orders and giving your food friendly and pleasant. The Aerosmith tribute wasn't to bad either. The great thing is it was all free except the food and drinks of course. Dog-friendliness: Plenty of people walking around with dog on leashes and had control of them
