Enjoy your summer vacation on Locke Lake in our beautiful and modern waterfront home! Our property is located in the large, open wake area of the lake which is perfect for boating and swimming, and is located on a quiet dirt road off Varney Road. The house is equipped with high speed WiFi and cable television.
Our home accommodates up to 8 guests, with a maximum of 6 adults at all times. We do not allow parties or events. We will allow two additional children (over the 8 person max) who are under the age of 16 for an additional $25/wk, per child. Children under the age of 3 do not count in the 8 person maximum.
We have a private 70 foot spacious, well maintained sandy beach area with a dock and a fire pit which is perfect for roasting marshmallows. Relax on lake time, enjoying beautiful summer days and star lit evenings at the beach.
Our beach water is shallow enough for young children to enjoy a clean, sandy bottom; while the water just past the dock is perfect for adults to swim and boat in. Included with your rental is a three person canoe, two person kayak, a five person paddle boat, life jackets, 2 adult bicycles (one with a child carrier), 3 children's bikes and helmets.
Fishing is plentiful on the lake, with large, fresh water bass, trout, perch; with minnows swimming around the dock on our shoreline, so feel free to bring your fishing gear (NH fishing laws require a fishing license for anyone 16 years and older).
Pack lightly! We are well stocked with sand toys and beach towels, indoor toys and board games to keep the kids entertained, as well as a full size air hockey table and a video game console.
We have three spacious bedrooms, each with air conditioning and wall mounted TVs. Two of the bedrooms have queen sized beds and the third bedroom has a double sized mattress bunk bed. There are two twin mattresses suitable for children to use on a floor. Linens, pillows and blankets are provided for each of the beds at no additional charge.
The first floor bathroom is next to the master bedroom and has a shower stall. The second floor bathroom has a full size shower and bath tub. Bath towels and hand soaps are provided.
The eat in kitchen is stocked with spices, and a full size refrigerator, stove, microwave, dining utensils and cookware. Need more refrigeration space to accommodate your crowd? Bring a couple of bags of ice along and use the large, 7 day cooler provided.
From the living room you can walk out onto the deck, where you can relax on the patio furniture and enjoy your coffee watching the morning sunrise on the lake. Later on in the day, spark up the grill and have your lunch and dinner on the deck, or on the picnic table on the beach, while enjoying the beautiful sunsets on the lake.
No need to leave the furry family members behind; we allow up to 3 friendly, housebroken dogs with an additional pet fee and increased security deposit. I will consider an indoor house cat with the same guidelines.
As a courtesy to our guests, we provide Locke Lake Colony passes that allow you to use the two seasonal outdoor swimming pools with life guards, (one pool is just across the lake from our home), as well as full access to the 6 hole golf course and baseball fields which are walking distance from the house, as well as the new tennis courts (we provide tennis rackets) for the duration of your stay.
We stay at our vacation home several times a year, and are always making updates to this home for our guests to enjoy. We are proud to be entering our 8th year of summer rentals and welcome the opportunity to accommodate your family's vacation needs.
