On 1/25/23, the post office delivery van stopped and left the mail in my mail box. They also left a small package small box sitting on top of my mailbox at the street. It was windy and snowing and dark at the time. The box was precariously balanced on the rounded top of the box. The driveway was plowed and the sidewalk was shoveled and my front door light was on. I saw the postal van stop at my box and I immediately went out to get the mail not knowing that the package was sitting on top of the box. It would have been blown off or stolen had I not gotten out there as soon as I did. It was an open invitation to the first “porch pirate” who came down the street. Putting the small box on top of the rounded mailbox is contrary to their delivery procedures and showed an indifferent attitude regarding making any attempt to properly protect the packages they are paid to deliver. I tried to call the post office but the phone rings endlessly.
My packages keep going missing. somtimes they will show up days later taped up like someone opened them They come back scanned saying delivered. We check our security cameras and no-one is coming up stealing them. We have filed numerous complaints, talked to the post master and called the postal inspectors. Nothing has changed. Now it has happened again. Missing packages.
The mail man came at 5:45pm. The flag was up on my mailbox. He did not pick up my letter. No mail. Usually, he delivers mail around 11:00AM. It was a Monday. Must have been a new guy
Terrible service, they loose packages from Amazon all the time, which they were not an option for delivery service, no wonder they are closing offices, all these entitled over paid people can't deliver a simple package or even answer their office phone. Giving 1 star was too much
The Mail carrier who delivers to the Woodlands is horrible!! If she isn't destroying my mail by cramming it in the box, she giving me the wrong mail!! This weekend, I was notified that my package was delivered only to find out I had someone else's packages..My daughter delivered them to the proper address..but my package wasn't there..today a gentleman brought me my package that was in HIS mailbox..Thank God for honest people and great neighbors. USPS not so much!! How hard is it to sit in a mail hut and put the proper mail in the proper slot? Now I have to worry about the Christmas gifts I've ordered
I absolutely love how my mail and packages always come back open or never delivered when tracking says they've been delivered. This place always has some lame excuse. Hope the people stealing mail gets caught soon.
I love living in Lockport or this post office would be a main reason to move. We’ve lived in a country with insane postal limitations and it was better then this local post office. The ladies working there are dreadful. They are offensive and moody to defensive and rude. One young girl has been truly pleasant and sweet very young blonde girl but I’ve seen her once only on holidays. The men are very nice but they are rare and backup. I live at the Woodlands. When packages come to us, it’s a toss up as to whether we get them or a pink slip. Size doesn’t seem to matter. We have large boxes we can use and I’ve never seen all the keys gone yet I was told last time I dared to ask that they must be full and used. This was said in a very defensive and accusatory tone and with a shrug. Another time, the normal moody lady I deal with a lot as I always get pink slips got nasty with me when I asked for a package but had no pink slip. I had Id and simply said it showed it was held by Amazon tracking but no slip. Details not necessary. I truly dread going to this place, no exaggeration. I send my husband if I have too much anxiety that day and know I can’t handle it. Some people are treated better and these women seem much nicer to people they have a good familiarity with at times while other days, you won’t get a smile, to say the least. One woman will smile then have a passive/ aggressive attitude. The mail is unreliable and I go out of my way to use Tonawanda or Amherst first if possible.
This location needs to hire better delivery drivers. I received 2 packages in the last week that were supposed to require a signature to receive and they were just left on my doorstep. In addition, I was supposed to have a package delivered to my house today - signature required for this one too. The driver in my neighborhood did not even attempt to get a signature, did not knock on the door or ring the bell, and did not even approach the house. A notice of missed delivery was automatically left in my mailbox. I was home and could have signed for the package. I'm annoyed the driver did not do his or her job.
This place is a disaster. 2.2 star average google review and for good reason. Had a package that needed a signature and after a while and not receiving it I contacted the company and they said they tried to deliver it and nobody was home. Yet the supposed day of delivery both me and my wife were home all day. No big deal. I go to the post office and I didn’t have the tracking number as I never received one but I had my license, social security card, credit cards etc. to prove its my package but without the magical tracking number they couldn’t help. Ok fair enough. I go home and email the company that sent the package and I get the tracking number. When I go back they said the package was destroyed because I took too long to retrieve it! What?! Email the company again. Get a new package sent. Once again no tracking number. Once again can’t get new package because no tracking number. This place is a joke.
First rep at counter was rude, the guy working in the next window was even more rude. They sent me to fill out paperwork, and while I was filling out, the guy rep was talking about me loud enough to hear. Absolutely no ethics at all. I advised the supervisor but am a little iffy about his response or that he will do anything about it.
