Our political involvement on issues such as bed tax usage, ADA litigation, wage and hour changes, and public school schedules are targeted and effective.
Our educational programs and printed materials provide year-round opportunities to increase your knowledge and expertise on industry trends like safety and security, customer service, human resources and more.
Our Mission:
*To act on the behalf of the hotel & lodging, timeshare, condo, condo/hotel and camp grounds industry in establishing a strong image.
*To establish and maintain standards of service and operation which will reflect favorably on the industry and in the area.
*To represent the members of the industry in relations with local government.
*To foster and promote community relations which will be of benefit to both the hotel & lodging industry and Volusia County.
The Lodging & Hospitality Association of Volusia County was previously known as The Halifax Area Lodging Association Inc. It was established in 1984 and from its earliest days, it has provided a vehicle for cooperation among all members of the hotel industry. In 2017, we had over 10 million visitors generating $6.09 BILLION for Volusia County.
