Paid for 2 nights, and this review will be on the log cabin accommodation only. I will do a separate review for the Raddle Inn pub. Cabin is nicely presented, and was comfortable with almost everything catered for. The Hot tub was clean and worked well, we enjoyed that. Could do with a light outside to illuminate the area however. We had a few issues, some of the bedding was missing sheet for sofa bed and 1 bunk bed, duvet covers for blankets and we had a few small brown stains on some of the sheets. This was off-putting. A light bulb was blown in the main bedroom, cobwebs were in the corners of rooms and wardrobe, and sweets fell out of the sofa bed when we opened it. Sink pedestal missing on bathroom exposing the waste pipes. A nice place, excellent location and views, Hot tub great but attention to detail required for cleaning and facilities. Reasonable cost.
Having eaten there many times I can only say it has gotten worse each time, the staff are only just out of school and haven't a clue how to address adults, let alone what's on the menu, we had to explain what a peach melba was .. tonight we were a party of six and were hoping things had improved...alas no, we waited an hour for our starters to appear and then we only got service because I went to the bar and asked for some one in charge, the excuse was they had gone to another table ...eventually they turned up and were average ,the mains tho were very poor clearly pre cooked dishes hastily reheated, plates stone cold, we could've got better food from Aldi and heated it up ourselves, in short save your money and go elsewhere ....such a shame but we won't waste any more time or money there , maybe Pete should employ a few adults....just a thought...
Had our wedding there everything was how we asked, we also had two nights in the cabins which were clean and well stocked and the hot tub was greatRooms: 4/5
Had a great meal there and for a good price. Service very good. Beautiful landscape and view with two lovely llamas in the grounds. Good experience and will maybe try the suspended pods outside next timeService: 5/5

Great place to stay clean and good food Service was a little slow and took forever to get my keys for cabin and the lady seeing to us could be a lot more cheerfulRooms: 5/5
Beautiful location - as has already been commented on by others. If you come on a sunny day you'll enjoy it to its fullest potential with fantastic views. There are plenty of outdoor areas to sit and drink/eat - including the "pods". Staff friendly and helpful - needless to say we had plenty of questions. We dined inside - great character - as someone who likes horses I was interested in the pictures. Apparently the owners used to have a share in a racehorse. Photos are near the bar! I opted for vegetarian shepherds pie guess what - I'm vegetarian - this was a bit bland, could have done with more lentil filling, but still plenty of flavour. I think I'd probably have a lighter meal if I was to eat there again. But vegetarians can be reassured there there are other options to choose from on the menu. Definitely intend to return and would recommend.
We visited the Raddle Inn for lunch as first-time customers. First thing to say is that the location and surroundings are beautiful. We visited on a sunny day which made the visit even better. The actual building and eating area inside the heart of the building is nice and has character. However the conservatory area which is also an eating area gets very hot in nice weather. The drinks are good and the staff were polite, friendly and efficient. Now to the food. I've read previous reviews and the consensus seems to be food can be hit and miss. This was our experience too. I had the pensioners steak pie chips and veg. This is really a light bite at £6.50. The pie portion is quite small but tasted good and the chips small portion and veg were nice. The overall portion was just about good enough for me. The full steak pie portion costs £12 and I didn't want to pay that. My partner had the vegetarian shepherds pie, chips and salad. This was not as described on the menu , there was little of no lentil and bean filling but just lots of mash on top with melted cheddar cheese rather than goats cheese as described. My partner ate it all so it couldn't have been that bad BUT she said she would not have it again as it was rather stodgy and bland. It was NOT good value either at £11.95. We notice that the food prices generally are rather inflated and we are yet to discover a good value, good portion size light bite ie pensioners menu option. To sum up we would definitely go again as the location is superb on a sunny day, however we would probably go WITHOUT food and just have drinks.
It was a fantastic break for us as a family with our dog all the staff could not do enough for us nothing was too much trouble and the hot tub was amazing thank you ALL looking forward too see you againRooms: 4/5
