Giving Braintree Express a one star solely on the drivers. This is the third time where a driver was almost out of control. 7am, 7/17/23 pickup at Logan. My wife nicely asked the driver to be careful with one of the suitcases as it had a large framed painting in it. The driver took it ace tossed it in exactly like all the rest. Didn't give it ANY care whatsoever. Then as we are traveling out to Braintree, the driver was merging with the car left lane, squeezing a car that was clearly there enough to make that car honk. The driver got in behind that car, honked the bus horn, turned on his headlights THEN put the high beams on the car and proceeded to continually accelerate and brake a foot or two from the car. Braked hard enough for a child in the seat in front of me to fall forward and hit his head on the plastic drink holder mounted on the seat back. He did this twice. He honked at at least 7 cars on the way out. Switching lanes back and forth, leaving his blinker on and straddling the lanes. Most people in the bus were visibly getting upset with the driver. He could be heard communicating with his office regarding being a little late. TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL. Two other occasions where I used this bus service the driver ended up yelling at passengers. Actually yelling at them and driving erratically. I only use this service of I have no other option despite the convenience.
Buy your tickets online. The bus only runs every half hour so you have to time your arrival. Normally parking isn't a big problem but we had to circle few times until a spot opened up. This is our go to transportation to and from Logan. It's clean, quiet, mostly comfy for us shorter folks, and I don't have to drive in Boston traffic. When leaving the airport we have had trouble getting on the bus at Terminal E. Our answer has been to walk over the sky bridge to Terminal A. Works like a charm.
Quick and easy transport TO Logan and our driver was polite and helpful throw them a small tip as well - they appreciate it. Our trip back on the other hand was interesting. We arrived at Logan at 5 a.m. and the Express does not pick up until 6:30 a.m. Yet...they drop off at Logan beginning at 3:30 a.m. and we had three busses pass us to head back to Braintree while we waited on the sidewalk from 5:20-6:30! Literally makes no sense at all.
I'm giving 1-Star because my car was side swiped by someone at the lot while I was on vacation and theres no accountability. I walked in and asked if there's cameras, they said no. They also don't assign parking spots, another solution. Very convenient way to dismiss any liability the lot could possibly have. I wouldn't trust your car here.
I traveled to Boston for a few days and the Logan Express service was inexpensive and easy to book online. My tickets were about $9 each way, online, and the pickup times from the Braintree location and BOS airport location were reasonable. The seats are relatively comfortable and the drivers are generally nice. I definitely recommend if you're traveling to the area and don't need a rental car. Also, the Hyatt Place Braintree and a Marriott hotel are right around the bend from the Logan Express Braintree location.
Words of advise. Know your gate and be on time. This is a very efficient service. lt's much cheaper than parking at the airport. Some people expect to be treated like your a paying customer at some resort.....it's a cheap service that's provided...if they spend time trying to figure out all the stuff you should know like your gate...services would be delayed. Downsides are people are using parking other than for the airport which can cause the lot to be full...not good if you are on time restraints. It would be great if they posted a rough estimate on parking spots available. They also don't answer there phone. I was trying to make sure the lot wasn't full like last time and see how much extra time was needed due to tunnel being closed
No stress driving downtown. Save on parking compared to Logan. Buses run every 15 minutes. Kids ride free. Buses are in pretty good shape. 5 stars all day.
This is a real deal if you are going into Logan to catch a flight anytime of the day or night practically. The buses run on a half hour schedule. I am a senior and paid $20 for a round trip from Braintree. However, there was a glitch when I returned in that I think the bus that was supposed to pick us up, bypassed our stop. I saw it, and it was empty, but it deliberately bypassed us. So I waited almost an hour for my return.
With all the traffic turmoil in Boston, I decided to take Logan Express. Best decision and will use from now on. Literally hassle free. Friendly drivers a nd HOV lane, what's not to like? Plus price is right.
Awesome. First time using it... Very reasonable price. No hassle. On time... Direct to terminal....experienced drivers, didn't have to drive in traffic and worry about parking.
