Thank you for visiting Logan Primary Pharmacy. We are located on the East parking lot of Logan Primary Care in Logan Professional Park at the intersection of Rt 13 and IL-148 just a short drive from Carbondale, Marion and downtown Herrin. At Logan Primary Pharmacy you will find fast and friendly service with a helpful staff and two drive-up windows. Offering free delivery every weekday you will never have to worry about how to get your medicine. And with the best prices in town you won't have to worry about checking all over town either.

Logan Primary Pharmacy is a family owned and operated pharmacy that is part of a 40 year old family tradition. Fred Calcaterra originally owned Family Drugs in Herrin, Carterville and Johnston City. The Carterville store is still in operation today at a new location. We continue to provide the same hometown service in our new locations in Herrin and Carbondale.

They make us feel like part of the family. Ben and Knute always take time to answer questions and it really seems that they do much more than just sell the prescriptions. I would never go anywhere else for my medicines. It's my place and I feel like family there. Fog
To the owner who told me to ask for Ben, your staff refused to let me speak with him. They also want to refuse to prescribe my daughter of 6 cough medicine because over the counter is not working she’s been coughing for days and when she had her viral infection this is where I went and this is where I went yesterday. I have been ignored twice, never got a call back twice. At this point I’m disgusted with these people that work there. They clearly do not have compassion for children who have been coughing for weeks straight so much that regular cough medicine isn’t touching it. I hate leaving negative feedback but they don’t care to let my daughter suffer through this. They want to hold back prescribing anything that actually helps well you’ve lost customers going back 25 years.

I have tried many of the Pharmacies in the area. Logan Primary pharmacy, is easy to get ahold of, is understanding and helpful, as well as way faster than waiting at Walmart or CVS. When they quote you a time frame they are typically done earlier, not later. Would rather have the small town feel, than the calloused and slow techs you get at the box stores. Not always, but generally I can leave our primary care appt and walk to the pharmacy and only wait 5-10 mins to have my family’s RX’s in hand. CVS would tell you 2 hours then be 6 and treat you like it’s your fault for coming early when you actually have them a few extra hours passed their quoted time due to knowing that they are usually behind. Logan primary is Friendly, if you even have a few min wait they apologize like they know it’s held up your day, even when it’s a totally reasonable wait. They are knowledgeable and treat you like a person. I couldn’t ask for more.
I used to live in murphysboro and used their sister pharmacy ran by Ben's sister I believe Katie. They also have one in carterville, all are very fast at getting you in and out, they make sure you know what's going on throughout the process and sometimes if busy are a bit longer but you cannot expect them to always fill in 10 minutes. I think they are amazing and that's why I stay with their family pharmacies. I hated leaving family drug but I love Ben and how he always explains all my new things and if there is a possible drug interaction he will make sure your aware. AMZING FAMILY AND PROUD TO STILL BE APART OF THIS FAMIKY RAN COMPANY. THANK YOU ALL
This pharmacy used to be great and they are going down hill, never get notified when scripts are ready or if there was an issue with script.
Easily accessible local pharmacy. Much easier to get some medications that are regularly out of stock at your national pharmacy.
Fast friendly and always educational on meds and make my kiddos happy with lolly pops and smiles! A+
This pharmacy consistently is slow. I was the only customer at the premise and my wait time was 35 minutes.
Love this pharmacy. It is a full-service pharmacy and they really care about their customers. Also they make up Med packs for daily medicine use
