We had a great time at Logger two weekends in a row. The water is low unfortunately but that can’t be helped this year. I will say the staff clean the bathrooms twice a day which is nice and they are all very helpful! It is very dusty so be prepared.
I have been going to Logger campground for many years. Always have had no issues other than the dump station in the last few years. Had an issue today.. Not sure who is responsible for that. Years were much better when it was run under California Land Management
Beautiful sites and scenery. We had a double site for $50 a night. No discounts with passes. I don't see how two campers could occupy that site except for tents ,camper vans, and small motorhomes with no sliders. However, we loved our site with full lake view. Great camp host made friendly rounds and delivered firewood. We did a lot of off road bicycling. People active on kayaks and paddle boards.
Reservoir is filled up with water again! Stayed at the site 199 this summer: very spacious with partial shades. You can get to the shore, bathroom, running water, and dump station within a few min walk. No shower. Bathroom was kept clean throughout three days stay. Bring your own toilet paper in case they run out You get to see bambi few feet away with a pretty good chance, but keep food in the container. They bit through my bags to get my bread and chips!
We had a nice relaxing time. Stayed in Steam Donkey loop sites 141& 142.. they back up to the water when the lake is full. The site slopes slightly so bring a shovel if you are tent camping. RV& trailers are ok. We almost had the whole place to ourselves, 4 others in campground. Lots of deer activity they walked right through our site every night. Over all it was very nice. Bathrooms were not an issue because there was no one in the campground. Sites were pretty spacious, we were very surprised. We are site snobs we look for campgrounds with larger sites because we have non people dogs and don't want to be camping on top of other people. We will definitely be back..
Great camp sites and absolutely love the area. I've been camping here for almost 30yrs; Unfortunately, the camp host in our particular area was a completely unpleasant, nasty, mean tool of a human being. 30yrs here and the camp hosts have always been some of my favorite individuals to meet.....fun, nice, personable, seem to enjoy what they're doing.....them came along this guy! Campers beware.....avoid anything in the 200-250 section of the East Logger Campground.
No bear boxes but otherwise the camp ground was well maintained. Sites were spacious. I recommend a double. I usually do dispersed camping or reserve group sites and I hate regular campgrounds. But this was more than acceptable. Only issues were the drive to the boat ramp and overflow parking. You can see the overflow and it's a 2 minute walk but a 10 minute drive because they keep a gate locked so you have to drive by the ranger. I was warned not to leave anything in the boat or back of truck in overflow and If you are leaving a trailer use the long cable to chain it to.
Nice place and would be nicer if there was more water . Clean and nice camp host.
Reserved site 22 from website for my trailer. This site should have been a tent site for it took a long time to level my trailer after backing up hill to park it. Photo from website for this site was very deceiving. Also the pit toilets even gagged my dog. We were at least 300 feet from the pit toilets and we could smell the odor from our site. HORRIBLE!
We normally like this place. But we were there for the weekend and the campground #173, decided they could loudly karaoke until after midnight on Friday night and until after 10 pm Saturday night. There wasn't a camp host in this section, so didn't know what to do. We like the area, but will ask at the front gate what to do if a campsite is too loud. This was not a restful weekend.
