Great park. The trail is really shady in the good way. Lol lots of trees. There is a restroom which is great when you got kids. A couple of tables for eating lunch before you play. In all a great little park.
I like the park better when it's crowded because then there is someone to play with. Grandson's words I'm glad it now has bathrooms. Love the new play gym. The merry go round is my favorite.
We walked out dogs during the Haunted Hay Ride event put on by the City of Longview. It was great. So many community vendors and my dog was clearly excited to see Belle!
Very clean park and love the toddler area
Louis Jackson Park is one of the trailheads for the Paul Boorman trail that connects Loop 281 to Highway 80 running parrallel to Bill Owens. The playground equipment is great for kids 6-12, has a two court racket ball court and a large field for general fun, and of course the trail itself is a major portion of this awesome park. Throughout the trail there are several exercise machines spread along the trail, a large dog park with obstacles, a smaller wooded dog park, several fountains have a lower portion for dogs to drink, and there are nice restrooms at the Fairmont entrance. Our favorite parts of trail is the bridge underneath HG Moseley, and the Louis Jackson Park. Playground: Two playgrounds. One for 8-12 year olds, and one for much younger children. Restrooms: Two nice restrooms with sinks and 2 freeze-proof water fountains outside. Picnic area: Two covered pavilions. You can reserve these with Longview PARD for birthday parties and other events. There are power connections at the pavilions.
This park has something for folks of all ages. A walking or riding loop around the park that joins a longer trail of about.a mile or so, A hand ball court and modern kids play areas along with a nice pavilion, Parking is a bit limited with about 50 spaces but no restroom facilities on site. A great park for faimly outings,
Always love going to this trail and feel peaceful when I leave.
Multiple trailheads for the Paul G. Birdman trail. There are four bigger kid swings and two baby swings. A playset with two slides. Good shade and benches around the playground. There are handball courts and a covered pavilion.
I love this park. Our favorite thing to do is start on the Borman trail and then walk to the park. The place is well kept, well lit, safe and the play equipment is top notch. Has a pavilion that would be great for a birthday.
It's a nice little park. It's better for older kids, like the 5-12 range. The trail it attaches to is very nice tho. Great for bike riding and roller blading.
