As one of the first fire departments in the area, the Lone Oak Fire Department has been serving the surrounding community since 1949.
The Lone Oak Fire Department Conducts training on Thursdays.
The First and Third Thursdays is general Firefighter Training. The Second Thursday is geared towards officers. The Fourth Thursday is EMS /EMT Refresher training. The training sessions start at 6 PM and usually last 3 hours. Training is usually conducted at Station 3.
We have state of the art training facilities including a burn tower, classroom facilities, a complete home maze/smoke room and four-story training tower.
This training is open to all firefighters and members of other departments and to the public in general. We especially welcome the opportunity to train with our mutual aid and other fire departments. The general training sessions cover various topics and there are multiple classroom and hands on sessions occurring simultaneously, so you can pick and choose the training you wish to attend.
Some of the training sessions (such as live burn) may have a limit on the number of students, so please contact Dave Wright or Larry Freeman prior to the training session.
