The Long Ridge Fire Company is a combination department providing fire suppression and rescue efforts 24/7/365 since 1928
We maintain two fire stations, with our main station located at 366 Old Long Ridge Road in Stamford, CT. We're one of Stamford's Big Five Volunteer Fire Departments. LRFC was incorporated in 1928 and we celebrated our 75th anniversary in 2003. Over 3,500 homes and businesses are located in our district, which covers a land area of 14 square miles and a population of approximately 8,000 people. Our mission is to provide fire, medical and other emergency services for the residents of our district. We also provide service to surrounding districts where we have mutual aid agreements.
We're volunteers, but we're also friends, neighbors, and family. We give our time freely and generously to protect you and those you love. We're only a phone call away; just dial 9-1-1 in any fire or emergency. Forty firefighters and 6 vehicles are standing by to meet your next emergency.
We're always looking for volunteers. If you think you would like to become a member, call us at 203-322-5200, or stop by the firehouse.
