Long's School of Cosmetology is enrolling new students on an ongoing basis. Contact us by phone, email or facebook to learn more about a new and exciting career in cosmetology. Our enrollment begins the first Monday of every month.

Mission

Our mission at Long’s School of Cosmetology is to prepare each student for a career in Cosmetology, Nail Technology or Esthetics fields; as well as prepare the student with all skills needed to pass the Indiana State Board of Cosmetology & Barber Examination. Our students are educated in the most current and up to date techniques in the field. This will prepare students to be employable in the job industry.

I attended cosmetology school here for over a year. I would not recommend this school. The school lacks communication to their students. Some of my receipts that I was given for my payments had the wrong year on them. I decided to transfer schools and Longs took over 2 months when allowed 30 days by state to send my records to my new school. I was overcharged for my records to be transferred again what is allowed by state. My progress book is all over the place. I was told a certain number then months later was told the instructor “forgot to put a 1 in front of the number”. My trolley that I was given was not able to be locked like the other students was, so I had to lock my things in another students trolley when I wasn’t there. I feel it was hard to be successful here.

I went there multiple times as a client while my child was attending the school. There is lack of supplies for the students and the equipment is run down. Only 2 of 4 shampoo bowls were working, the only facial steamer was not working, and there was only one properly working pedicure chair. The facial room is also used as a storage room with ceiling tiles missing. I wanted my make-up done but they didn’t have anything besides blush and eyeshadow. All capes used on me had rips or holes in them. I would NOT recommend going to this place for school or as a client.

@Jackeline did a fantastic job. She was very attentive and made sure me and my friend were happily satisfied with our nails. Her Facebook is Jackie Nails if you want to set an appointment with her. Prices are very affordable

Very helpful on the phone, easy to make an appt. There was an instructor present to ensure students were doing everything properly. I got my hair cut, colored and styled by Haylee, she was great and I loved the final result. Very affordable and you’re helping out students! I will be back for more services.

My hair is thin and fine and to my waist. A student gave me a spiral perm. The teacher helped and made sure every curl was right. If it wasn’t, she told her to do it again. I really appreciated the attention to detail and was extremely pleased. I will go back for all my cosmetology needs. They also do nails and fills!

Wouldn’t recommend going to school hear. They don’t treat their students fairly and are unprofessional all around.

I love this place! The staff are amazing people. Thank you for the best haircuts I've EVER had.

After knowing how they treated my girlfriend while being a student and when she tried to transfer. I wouldn’t recommend going here.

Walked in and stood at the counter one girl was doing her makeup someone from the back yelled someone would be right there. I stood there for 5 mins 2 more girls walked right past me and didn’t say a word. Less than impressed!
