Longmont Climbing Collective

About

Longmont Climbing Collective is Longmont's first premium indoor climbing facility.

Description

First and foremost, Bryan Hylenski and Mack Maier are climbers. Climbers from Longmont, and climbers that are emphatically in love with their town. Ever since moving to Longmont in 1999 Bryan has wanted a climbing gym in town. He worked tirelessly to make this happen in 2008 and again in 2013. Luck, real estate, and the economy always presented challenges and kept the project just out of arms reach. In 2014, Bryan teamed up with his friend Mack to get at it again and find a way to make a Longmont climbing gym a reality. After 3 years of planning and hard work, Longmont Climbing Collective is born and Bryan and Mack couldn't be more excited. They are looking forward to running a climbing gym, but more importantly, to climbing.

"We are Longmont's only indoor climbing facility for families and serious climbers alike. Since opening in March 2018, we've welcomed over 2,500 through our doors to enjoy 7,000 square feet of world-class bouldering. In addition, we offer members yoga and fitness classes as well as plenty of training equipment. We're a family friendly fun destination with kids programs like after school clubs, teams and birthday parties. At LCC we pride ourselves on being a place for you to get fit, have fun and make friends."

Challenging and fun, routes difficulty is clearly labeled. All guests were respectful of each other. I really enjoyed my visit here, nice upstairs hangout/remote work area, beer on tap near the entrance, I will definitely be back
I have been coming here at least once a week for about a year. So far I have really enjoyed this gym. They change the problems at a nice tempo, leaving them up long enough to try one for a few session but changing often enough to not run out of new problems. The layout is also quite nice here and the staff has always been friendly. Pretty sure I'll stay a long term customer at this rate.
Folks here are kind and respectful. I’ve always felt welcomed by members and staff! I love attending their larger events and cheering on the climbers! I took an intro to bouldering class in spring 2021 and my instructors were great for building my skills and understanding of bouldering.
Staff was friendly and extremely helpful. Jake explained how to fall properly and showed us our way around. He also gave me his friend pass for the day and I couldn’t be more thankful. I’m looking forward to the next time. Dear LCC, get him another buddy pass because I’ll for sure be back!
I was in boulder and was only 20 mins away. This is my new favorite boulder gym! They have the best grading system with a very wide range of climbs. They go V0-V1, V1-V2 ,etc which is rare to see, but so amazing! They have tension and kilter boards, which are sick! Staff was great, facilities were great! Shoutout to Jackson and the team! Check out LCC if you're in the Boulder/Longmont area.
Love it here!! Lcc has been my main gym for over 5 months now!! I am always excited and eager to climb here and love the new routes that have been put up recently! The staff couldn’t be more helpful :
Very nice gym with interesting routes. The gym part of the gym i.e. weights isn't super impressive but it's fine. The staff are very friendly and the gym feels clean EDIT since I can't reply directly to their response: 1. I think it could use a mirror, which is helpful for checking form. 2. I love the quantity of racks though they do feel wobbly I assume since it's such a large structure. Dedicated squat racks may be more stable, though definitely not necessary. 3. More machines and/or more treadmills. The quantity of dumbbells and barbells are great, but there are some exercises that are simply easier to do with a machine instead of dumbbells. Having a couple more treadmills would be nice too since it feels like they're always in demand.
Yoga and kids programs are top notch! I love that they have flexible, affordable membership options for different interests. The vibe is ver welcoming and inclusive!
This was a really fun bouldering experience. We met one of the owners and she was super friendly and patient. The building was clean and there were plenty of routes to choose from for any climbing level. The building is a little bit tricky to get to with how the connecting roads are laid out. We'll be back again for sure.
Great gym, fun routes, good music, good yoga classes… sometimes a little too crowded in the evenings only negative.
