Lorida Fire Department served as the hub of Lorida for over 35 years. Until recently, it was entirely volunteer. From the time I was a child, visiting my grandparents, until many years later, my family and I always supported the efforts of the LFD. I don’t think many people today recall how many members of the community served, without pay, to protect the community. I know they helped my grandmother during the last week of her life, and for that, I will always be grateful.
