This amazing location near the Trinity atomic bomb test site is close to the Los Alamos history Park and museum. There is a great view of the valleys, gorges and mountains where one of the most significant engineering projects was completed in 1945. If you're making a special trip to Los Alamos to learn about the Manhatten Project and see some of the artifacts of that period, know that there isn't much left to see. This is fun photo opportunity. You don't have to show passes anymore to enter the town. This building also has public restrooms. This is located at the entrance to the town of Los Alamos, which is the location of the Manhattan Project National Historical Park. It's a great small town to visit if you are a history buff.
The simple fact that this was the checkpoint for entering the historic local of the Manhattan Project and the dawn of the nuclear age makes it a pilgrimage for history buffs. Check for the opening times/days of more historic locations downtown.
