Great food! Atmosphere is good but very crowded. The service was great and our waitress worked her tables non-stop. Parking spaces are small and I almost couldn't get into my car. I recommend parking in the gravel.Food: 5/5
Immediately walking in smells clean. Owner greeted us. It was our first time here. We didn't know what to get. He gave us sample of beef fajita and that's what we ordered. Queso dip was so good. Great service and great atmosphere. Highly highly recommend this place.
Me and the Mrs went here tonight, we had tried to get in on the weekend, but the line was over an hour. It's a canteen style place, very clean and noisy atmosphere. They get your order quick and the food is not long after. Big menu, so something for everyone. Staff are cheerful and helpful. RecommendedFood: 4/5
Y'all if you are ever in Rockport Texas please check out this amazing Mexican restaurant the service and the food were so good. I had the spinach Enchiladas with tortilla soup y'all this was a game changer so amazingly good.Food: 5/5
My “P” evaluation: P as product. Very flavorful, delicious. As matter of fact Mexican rice recalls my mom’s rice at hometown in Cuernavaca Mexico. My dish was stuffed peppers. My wife chooses fry avocado w Shrim. Second P: place, easy access, clean n big enough parking lot. Third P: price $$ . Fourth P. Personal/people I just going to think that i not please w server it make us feel that she was moodily. Probably she just tired.
Being from DFW home of many MANY Tex Mex restaurants I decided after looking online at places and reviews to give it a shot…. Very busy place, good food and service… salsa is great, they have a spicy red salsa and a green creamed salsa that’s amazing. We shared fajitas and enjoyed them…. Talked to some very friendly locals at the table next to us while there as well that said they were weekly regulars. Definitely recommend Los Comales.
Seafood nachos were great. Beef fajitas very tender and great flavor. Good food as always we will be back!
We dined in had a 25 minute wait to be seated, The waitress was very nice and friendly took our order. We noticed the waitresses didn’t bring our food and big guy that works in the back brought our food and most of our food was cold . We didn’t complain as we left the restaurant we noticed a signs on the way out Sorry absolutely not refunds . Now I know why , if you order sweet tea it’s $3.00 and if you order unsweetened it $2.50 , waitress could have explained it to because they have sugar on tables makes no sense on tea.
The food was good and the restaurant atmosphere was nice as well. There was covered seating outside that would have been comfortable to sit under if it was busy. Parking seemed a bit tight, so i would try and ride together. I hear it gets packed by 6. We had a variety of foods from beef fajitas to quesadillas to fried shrimp. It was all delicious and good portions. We took two full containers off food home. We did not try the margaritas, but they did look great and came highly recommended. The salsa and chips were great as well. We will definitely keep this place on our Rockport visit list. So, why only 4 stars? The staff were not that friendly. We had an older lady serve us who was really sweet. That said, we ran low on water, and we had a spill. We asked for help from the nearest server for both issues and she said she would get our server. I have worked tables, and while that might be what actually happens, that is not the answer you provide. We felt either the younger staff didn't care or didn't for her. Either way, that reflects poorly on the restaurant. I also need to mention that the bathrooms could use some TLC. I found a clogged toilet, and the layouts seemed odd. I couldn't tell if was supposed to lock it our leave it unlocked. I hope a manager addresses these issues. Again, we will be back, but I want patrons to have clear expectations. Kid-friendliness: We did not order from the kids menu, but there were multiple options. Parking: As I said above, it seemed tight. It was gravel as well. It did look like you could drop people at the door, which I think k would help people with limited mobility.
Normally, we love Los Comales, but tonight my food was ice cold : it was busy but still not an excuse. However we will be back because this is not the norm!
