Los Portales Mexican Restaurant

Nasty if I could give them negative stars I would.Everything is water based even the water and ice tasted better than the food. Was infested with flys. Should of known not to eat here when not a single person was here. They even ruined cheese dip with how watery.They also didn’t even bring out all the food at once it took over 15 minutes for all the food to come out. As pictured below Chicken was basically rubber. No flavor.

Excellent cooking! I had the steak tacos, fresh cilantro, lime… garnished with a grilled Hatch chiles from Hatch NM maybe. Anyway, delicious.

Went there this past Saturday during the international Greer festival and they were super busy and short staffed only one server and the owner/bartender they did the best they could and the food was great, people need to be more patient and empathetic, I have work in a Mexican restaurant before and knows how busy they can get people always expect a speedy service and quick food, well you can always go to Taco Bell and it seems to always be the older folks that have no compassion for others.

We came here for dinner and we loved the atmosphere, the employees, and the food! We'll definitely be back.Food: 5/5

Excellent experience. The salsa is made in house and you can see individual ingredients onions, jalapenos. Fajitas were excellent with what looked like homemade guacamole. Friend got a burrito which was MASSIVE think 2x the size of Chipotle. Friendly service and great ambiance, lovely place for dinner.

Very nice location. Had lunch. The guacamole while heavy on the onion was good as was the queso dip. The enchiladas were uninspired. I got a combo and one tasted like it had parmesan- inedible. Folks around here like things sweet and the margarita was no exception so it wasn't bad, I just don't like them sweet. Service was very nice. I have a review of a place while not as nice on the inside, the food is awesome.

Loved it here!!! The atmosphere was fantastic, the salsa was probably the best I’ve ever had, the rum bucket was delicious, and the service was awesome!!! Will be my new local fav Mexican restaurant!!! It’s a must try in Downtown Greer! Request to sit outside, super cute garden!!

This was a real shame. If I was just reviewing the food, I'd give it 5 stars. Large portions and delicious. I loved that they had Negra Modelo on tap too. The service however was some of worst we'd ever experienced. 1 out of 5, hence the total score of 3. Put simply, the waitress acted as if she didn't want to be there. Very unfriendly and other than bringing the food to the table, did nothing at all. Very slow night and she never even came back to the table. Never asked how things were, never came back with more chips, even when we asked when she brought the food and she said she would. Never asked if I we wanted another drink even though we sat with empty glasses. What was even more irritating was watching her stand against the wall in the back on her phone. She didn't even bring the check. We had to flag down other wait staff. I never leave a bad tip, even if the service isn't the best, because I think it negatively reflects on me and makes me look cheap, but in this case we left 10% which was 100% more than my wife wanted me to leave.

Not sure about the rest of the menu, but the tacos were not good. Had a fish, shrimp and pastor and none of them were good and lacked a lot of flavor. 2 stars mainly because the server was nice. This is probably a one trip and done for me.
