Lost Falls campground is a true hidden treasure.  Overall, it has quite a lot to offer; we've swam in the river, played on the beach with and without dogs, stargazed, fished, hiked to Lost Falls itself, and been on some amazing kayaking/float trips back to camp. And that was just a small group of adults using the rustic sites in the lower portion.  The upper portion of the campground has more to offer for those with small children or looking for electric sites including several nice-looking cabins overlooking the river.   But for us, the peaceful, shady, well-maintained, rustic spots on the Black River are really the best reasons to go. We've been here four times now and the owners and staff were always very friendly, relaxed and helpful. I've done a good amount of camping and Lost Falls is among my favorite places.    If you're unsure of this place, I encourage you to give it a chance.
They were very accommodating for my needs to park my work semi there with no extra charges, the campsite was ok but could have been a bit more level, and the drain pipe could be closer to the water/electric hook up. Very quiet place, excellent for relaxing evening and sleeping. I would definitely stay here again without question.
Beautiful and relaxing campground. Clean bathrooms, hot showers. River float was wonderful! Lots of sand bars, easy entrance, and a nice big beach at the landing. We also had a great time with Aaron one of the owners. We will definitely be back!
This place is amazing! The cabins are like mini air BNBs with a coffee maker and even filters. They are clean and well maintained. The mosquitoes are controlled so well, the river and beach is amazing and always a highlight for our family. We have teenagers through toddlers and they love it here!
Good. Bring your swim suits. Many spots are shade all day so spend the day at the beach if the temps are cool. Little to no connectivity
Best campground we have ever stayed at. Very friendly so clean and well kept up, flowers are absolutely gorgeous. Would highly recommend this campground. We walked to the falls, also went kayaking everything was absolutely perfect.
We've now camped here twice and loved it each time. We rent one of the sites right by the beach. The grass and beach are well maintained and we love tubing down the Black River and ending up back at our campsite. The owners are very friendly and making reservations is so easy.
I loved this place and the owners. We camped in one of the "lettered" campsites. It was so nicely grassed and maintained that we didn't even put down our outdoor rug. The site was perhaps the flattest we've ever had and didn't use the leveling tools we have. There was a nice split rail fence between sites that made it feel like "ours" and the campsite wasn't full and they spaced us all out because they could. So considerate. The restrooms were great. I didn't use the showers because I didn't see temperature controls, but other than that I really WANTED to use the nice wide, curtained showers with benches. I walked in one time and the owner was sanitizing the entire floor using a backpack sprayer. I was impressed as I had JUST noticed him scrubbing the floor a little earlier. Also, there was always soap in the dispensers. It was nice to be able to go down to the river and swim and we took one of their tubing float trips and it was delightful. We didn't have a fire because it was too hot during our stay, but it looked like they had nice quality wood available to buy. Overall, I can't say enough good things about this campground and look forward to returning.
Had a great time here swimming in the river and having a float down the river. Everyone was friendly and helpful. We will definitely staying there again.
10/10 recommend! Had an absolutely beautiful weekend! The park is beautifully kept! The owners were so nice and went above and beyond to be accommodating. Bathrooms are very well kept and clean as well. Enjoyed are stay! And we will definitely be back and recommend to others!
