The mission of the LOA is to serve as an educational organization for its membership. Additionally, the Louisiana Orthopaedic Association is heavily engaged in advocacy and represents its members and the patients they serve by monitoring legislation considered by the Louisiana Legislature.
The LOA offers educational opportunities such as an Annual Meeting usually held in New Orleans. LOA also has partnerships with a number of organizations to provide value added service to the membership. LOA has partnered with the Louisiana Medical Mutual Insurance Company (LAMMICO). Members are eligi ble for discounts on their medical malpractice insurance coverage through LAMMICO.
