Louisiana State University Eunice is LSU's only two-year institution located in Eunice, Louisiana, that currently enrolls over 3,000 full and part-time students. LSU Eunice offers robust transfer programs and a wide variety of workforce training certificates and degrees in high demand fields such as nursing, radiologic technology, respiratory care, and diagnostic medical sonography. LSUE serves as the gateway campus to the LSU System and has the highest transfer rates among all two-year institutions in Louisiana.HistoryLSU Eunice was founded in 1964 by the Louisiana State Legislature to provide basic higher education opportunities to students located in southwest Louisiana. The LSU Board of Supervisors approved the establishment of LSU Eunice and LSU Shreveport in 1965.State Representative Allen C.
