I was admitted to the 5th floor for a few days and they were the best!! Everybody was so sweet from the doctor to the housekeeper! They took such good care of me! Especially my nurse Theresa! Super thankful!
I went to Mercy Health ER last night bc I was already in Paducah! I’m so glad I didn’t check out their reviews! I had a positive experience in every single aspect! Saw 2 RN’s and a PA and they were all extremely helpful and pleasant! And my issue is healed up. ALREADY The registration lady Heather Dawn went above and beyond her responsibilities and helped clear my insurance up so I can take it back to my doctor and clear up the confusion since changing from another insurance company! Quick, efficient and kind is how I would describe my experience in a nutshell!! Never had a more positive experience!
Wonderful place to be! Everyone is all about your care. From the doctors to the cleaning lady Tiffany who while taking out my trash asked if I needed a heated blanket because when she came in the room it was a little chilly. Just the most wonderful ppl you could ever ask for to take care of you in your time of need.
My husband was brought to the er on thrusday 8/10/23 the mercy regional. He had passed out at the BP on Hinklervile road. He was on a vent and stayed till Monday morning after he was taken off the vent he was given no good just ice chip on wednesday then he was moved from ccu 7 floor so they could down to room 410 when got to room it was very cold and no one cared when I went to voicer te my concerns other nurse said it was always cold They did not come back and give him any meds after that I sat do not go to Lourdes of you care about your family there all night by his bed trying to keep him warm It is know 2:50 and I hope in the morning i can get him transferred to a different hospital it not like they wouldn't be paid P
1 is the lowest rating or I would go lower. Covid has made Lourdes callous and uncaring. My mother fell in her bathroom April 2nd and laid in her floor for at least 12 hours. she was found by family, warmed up and dressed and driven to the hospital. She was checked in and bloodwork drawn, but then sat in the ER for 8 hours exposed to God knows what. We later discovered that her bloodwork indicated a possible issue with her heart, but her triage "ranking" was apparently so low she was not going to be seen. At this point she was starving and thirsty and, since her earlier confusion had eased and there were no signs of brain bleed according to google, she was driven home. i traveled 6 hours during this time to stay with her a few days. She started to feel better from her fall, but began having chills and cold symptoms on April 5th. On April 6th i took my 87 year old mother to Mercy Health walk in, where they did a follow up to the blood work because of the heart issue, covid test, an EKG, xrays, and gave her cough medicine and antibiotics for a touch of pneumonia and redness around some of the scrapes from her fall. I settled her at home, but had to drive back to Tennessee for my job. On April 7th, by the end of my shift i was feeling unwell. my symptoms became very severe and when i went to my walk in clinic i was tested for covid and the flu. i was given Tamiflu for FluB and began recovering. i immediately let my sister and mother know that they likely had the flu as well. my sister was past the window for Tamiflu treatment, but my mother was not, and in the meantime, had become weaker and slipped from her bedside to the floor in an attempt to get up. So she was taken back to the ER and did test positive for the flu and admitted. i expected her to get pallative care, fluids, and possibly Tamiflu day 5 of symptoms, but she got nothing. On April 11, the hospital, having done nothing for her flu, wanted to send her to rehab for her weakness flu related as i could barely move when first diagnosed so instead she was discharged home to take her chances with family to at least give supportive care. I find it unbelievable that a simple flu test was not administered in 3 visits until requested, and then no fluids or Tamiflu was administered despite still being within the treatment window. I used to have high regard for Lourdes, but my mother would have received far better care at my vet clinic. i guess the new Mercy Health, CDC and/or medicaid policy is "let them die" if no longer a working member of society.
It’s not confidential at all. They ask what’s wrong in front of everyone in the er waiting room. There was no triage to access patients. The staff at the desk and the nurses that would walk trough was very negative. They would all just say, it’s a Monday. The level of care is not there. I pay good money for insurance and I’m a little hesitant on ever returning to mercy health. It’s disgusting that patients are not valued there.
Unacceptable. I waited 4 hours hours in the ER before throwing in the towel and leaving. During that time no one from the hospital checked on me. Other patients who had waited longer than me approached the desk asking when they may be seen and were told "I don't know". Four patients left without getting treatment one including a pregnant young lady. I understand that some days get very busy, but there was no communication from staff to explain things peoples conditions could have worsened and never were checked on.
My mother is in there now with Covid. The nurses are very sweet and kind and they’re doing the best they can but the room is nasty not been cleaned not been empty the trash.I know for 3 days. I asked for Tylenol and her blood pressure medicine and 45 minutes. I finally left because I was getting a headache. I was so mad and she was in pain and. This is not nursing fault!!! It is the people who run this hospital!!! Apple sauce set out for 4 day!! Instead of fundraising for to make the hospital more pretty this is a grand ideal. How about pay people more money to do the work? Why didn’t I think of that. GET It TOGETHER
If someone is in the hospital and they need their meds or even help doing anything then they should get it. It’s ridiculous how they let people be in pain and not give them their meds that the doctor prescribed to them. The nurses are rude and don’t care about their patients and are hateful when someone asks for something
Took our newborn to the Er for a fever. They suspected meningitis, attempted to do a lumbar puncture 3 times with no luck. He strained so hard it popped all the blood vessels in face and body. Only to send us to vanderbilt so they could do a lumbar puncture after they already knew it was rhinovirus. When in fact they could of just done a blood test as vanderbilt did. Put an iv in both arms and both ended bad with one arm swelling and having fluid go into his arm. Screw that place and Dr. Kenter. Never going here again. Forever traumatized for our poor baby.
