Clean establishment, nice amount of food, jerk sauce was a bit much so I’ll try it on the side next time. Chicken had a nice smoke flavor. Nice variety and definitely worth the money. Front of the house staff could be a bit more friendly

I ordered in here from Uber Eats and they sent me the completely wrong order!! I waited longer than the delivery time as well how can an establishment take so long preparing the wrong the food.. the rice and peas seemed old this food was not fresh seems like it was leftovers... how is your Jerk chicken so dry.. the Mac and cheese was dry too you would think the chef was a white man... nothing Caribbean or Jamaican about the food!! If you want good Caribbean or Jamaican food go to Caribbean cuisine on Richmond!! Never again!! Which I always go too but thought since they are closed let me try this place BIG MISTAKE

I’ve been to Jamaica a couple of times, and this isn’t “Jerk Chicken”. It’s more like “Stewed Chicken”. Didn’t think to check my bag before I left It was so much gravy, it spilled all over my car seats. Please check your order before you leave the restaurant

Jamaica is one of my favorite countries to visit and literally once you’ve been and had authentic oxtails you will never want American style again! With that being said, I’m still on the hunt for the best oxtails in Houston, other than mine! I drove 35min here because I was recommended and I was disappointed. First the staff was not the friendliest or welcoming, but the restaurant was clean. The oxtails was not consistent with all of them being tender, the rice wasn’t consistent as well and I didn’t like how the beans looked in the rice. The oxtails lacked flavor and I had to doctor them up once I got home with some spices I brought back from Jamaica. The plantains were cooked to perfection and had the right amount of sweetness, and the only thing I would rate 10/10. As before mentioned it’s so hard trying to find authentic Jamaican oxtails here in the state and this place disappointed me like the others.

Great food and my go to spot for Jamaican food. I’ve tried other places in houston and have been disappointed, but Love Bird is pretty consistent. I usually get their small oxtail plate which is tender. And their beef patty is so good

Tried out a new spot today with my work peeps! It was really good! Had the Jerk Chicken with a side of rice and Mac and Cheese. Me and my fellow Mexican buddy said it looked a lot like Mexican molé. I also couldn't help but grab a Spicy Meat Patty on the way out.

Food that I ordered was delicious! But I only gave three stars because the guy behind counter seemed as if he didn’t care that I was there. I smiled and said hello and that it was my first time visiting, but he said nothing. He wasn’t horrible, but it could’ve been more pleasant, considering I was giving them my money. I saw a woman there with him. I didn’t personally interact with her, but she appeared to be much friendlier. Anyway, I ordered the callaloo and saltfish, peas and rice, and plantain. It was all very, very good. What the place lacks in customer service, the food makes up for. That’s for sure!

Very rude and unprofessional. Ordered baked chicken with white rice and cabbage. Got home and realized that the cabbage was not placed on the plates. Called and told them that the cabbage was not put on the plates. One of the workers proceeded to go back and forth with me saying he did put the cabbage on the plates and told me that i could come get more. The problem i have is acknowledging the issue. Apologize for the inconvenience. Not be nonchalant and rude about it.

The food was pretty good; and the portions were heaping. I’d probably return to try the jerk chicken…
