Nice beach. Adults and children swimming and playing in water at the shore. There's a nice green area with benches where people can relax, BBQ, cook and enjoy the meals. Some people brought their mats to relax in the nice weather. Some people cycle around the park area and relax in the park. On the side, there are a lot of water birds and squirrels. Swa people feed them snacks. Good place to take pictures with the beach view.
Lovers point is a wonderful place to see amazing views. Close to the Beach House Restaurant do yourself a favor and take a romantic walk, jog, or bike ride all around the nature trail with amazing water views. If you have small children please be aware that there are huge slippery rocks, boulders, and drop offs without any barriers so take cautionary measures. Dog-friendliness: Very pet friendly
Go early to grab the good spots as the park gets really crowded on weekends. But once you settle in, the view is amazing. The waves are calm on the two adjacent beaches. Great for kayak and paddleboards. The rocks at the end has good spots for fishing.
Lovers Point Park in Pacific Grove, California, is a true gem that offers a delightful experience for all ages. There's public benches with girls for people to use, plenty of open space on the grass to lay out a blanket, a beach you can lay in the sand, a little ledge you can use to jump into the water and so much more. During my visit, the weather couldn't have been more picturesque, with abundant sunshine and a gentle breeze that provided a refreshing respite. What stood out most was the warm and welcoming atmosphere, as friendly passersby greeted one another and willingly offered to capture special moments through photographs. The park seemed to be a haven for dog lovers, with an array of beautiful canine companions adding an extra dose of joy to the surroundings. The breathtaking ocean views were simply unparalleled, leaving me in awe of the vast expanse of natural beauty before me. The park's vibrant plant life and the contrast of vibrant white clouds against the blue sky added to the overall allure. Lovers Point Park is undeniably a must-visit destination!!! This place offers an unforgettable experience amidst stunning landscapes and a sense of community that makes it truly special.
a lovely place to spend the day, in the park area you can have a barbecue or have a picnic and enjoy with the family, going down the stairs you have access to the beach, which is very calm without waves, it is like a small pool for children, it has a cafe that closes at 5:00 pm, a fast food grill restaurant, a more formal restaurant with quite comfortable prices open until 4:30 pm, it also has public bathrooms with changing rooms and a children's pool which was not available Still but it looked ready, there are two places to rent bicycles, kayaks and paddle surf boards as well as water equipment. In conclusion, a recommended place taking into account that if you want to stay overnight there are a variety of hotels less than 50 meters away just across the street with views of the sea at quite reasonable prices. kids friendly and pet friendly with leash.
This is a wonderful park that has a lot to offer. You can swim, picnic, play sand volleyball, go for a costal walk, or just enjoy the view with a fresh cup of coffee. The beach area is shallow with little to no waves. You have to go down stairs to get to the beach so there are accessibility issues in regards to the beach. The surrounding walkways are smooth with great views There are a few restaurants and cafes in the area if you want to get a coffee or a bite to eat while you are there. Parking is fairly good. There are a few small parking lots that open at 9am and they are free. There is also free street parking. Bonus: if you are a biker there is a bike tune up station with everything you could need. Restrooms: There are public restrooms that are fairly clean. And it has a wheelchair accessible ramp and stall. Picnic area: There are picnic areas throughout the park, both picnic tables and grassy areas to put a blanket down.
Lovers Point Park is a stunning beach and park. It has a concrete protective wall that offers a safe swimming spot. Though the water is cold year-round, it is perfect for sunbathing or kayaking. The park offers picnic areas with BBQs and restroom facilities, scenic trails, a lawn, and breathtaking sunset views. Climbing the rocks is fun, and photo ops are endless. It's a popular wedding venue too. Free parking is available along Ocean View Blvd, but arrive early for closer access. There is no entry or parking fee. Overall, a fantastic place to enjoy nature and create lasting memories.
Visited for the first time on a sunday afternoon. It was super crowded. The parking was hard to find, it was really full, although we e eventually were able to find parking after a couple of turns. It's white sand and the water was really pretty and so blue/green. Nothing beats a beautiful Pacific Ocean! It's kayak, paddle board friendly as well. It is NOT a DOG FRIENDLY, so please do not bring your dogs. I see people sneaking their little dogs. When it says no dogs are allowed, i wish people would listen. Kids are running freely, and some of them are scared of dogs or allergic. Also, birds are around as well, so be mindful of your food. They'll steal it from you. We will go back on the weekdays and see if it's going to be crowded.
Good place to go for a swim, and cold therapy immersion. Specially in the early morning. There is a lot of animals you can look at. It get busy during the week and a little busier on the weekend but there is always space, there one more beach on the other side. The bathroom are clean and the morning not so much after 12pm. Restrooms: They're clean in the morning not so much after 12pm they get real busy but they work. Picnic area: Many tables with bbq grills.
Perfect for a picnic with your family, friends and even a larger group. It's tucked away alongside a small beach with gentle waves - that's great for snorkeling, kayaking and stand up paddling. It's part of the Monterey Bay protected marine areas, so do expect a rich marine life and great views in the beautiful turquoise green waters on a sunny day! Also dog friendly, and a lot of things for curious kids!!
