Took their Open Water certification course and had a blast. The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable, and takes the time to ensure you understand the material. You'll have a good time and learn a lot here.

Approx. 3 years ago, Matt, Emily, Linda, and myself decided to visit Loves Park Scuba for “Snorkeling Training”.  A very good idea, we learned how to surface dive very efficiently, and to hold our breath for a complete pool lap. Dan and company were very friendly and encouraged us to try scuba diving.  Late December this year we completed our Certification eLearning and pool work.  The LPS shop was transitioning from old text pamphlets to the Scuba Diver International eLearning, some students got pamphlets or online training. It was made very clear that the training was going to be very repetitive through all phases and that there would be a class review of all text book/eLearning final exam.  Dan and Anna did the pool and class reviews with us and Remi did our Open Water Training. The LPS Team showed us each skill required, we repeated each skill, and repeated again and again, until we were very comfortable and proficient. Most important take away, pay attention to the instructors and demonstrations. We all had a little trouble at first, but Dan and Anna worked with each of us, and according to Dan, our group was the best group of the year.  My family joined LPS for our Open Water Dives in Fiji at the end of Feb. 2019. Best trip ever, it is easy to see why so many of their friends return years after year for the many Diving trips they offer.  First class operation in all respects. I think Dan and Remi had 27 individuals travel to Fiji.  I must say that we enjoyed every moment of this great adventure with our new found friends. I encourage anyone thinking about Scuba Diving to take your lessons from LPS and enjoy a very special Dive vacation with specialized attention from two of the best, Dan and Remi.  When I get a little more time, I plan on providing my review of our Fiji Trip.

My son and I took our refresher classes with Brad. He was fantastic. Super fun, knowledgeable and easy to be around. Brad and the rest of the crew were great. Had a great time going over everything before our trip at the end of this month and we feel very prepared. Thanks guys!!

Great people to work with, talk with, learn from and so much more! The instruction is highly recommended, very patient & understanding instructors also.

So here's the deal:  If when you're done taking a scuba course you want to feel totally confident in your new skills and abilities- Take the course at Loves Park Scuba!  The training we received was top notch.  We learned everything from the proper breathing and safety techniques to equipment selection and maintenance.  Dan and his staff are FABULOUS, knowledgeable, talented, friendly and committed to helping you learn the skills you need so you can have the very best scuba diving experience.  My sister lives in Chicago so the weekend course was perfect.  She came up here and in one weekend we are both open water certified.  We took the course for the trip to Cozumel but now we look forward to all the under water adventures and discoveries we are going to have!  I can't imagine there being a better place to take Scuba lessons then at Loves Park Scuba!  AWESOME EXPERIENCE!!!!

My husband and I learned to scuba dive at Loves Park Scuba last  October. The class was fast paced, and we were slow learners, but they were patient with us and we did learn with added pool time. We were hooked, loved scuba, and through the shop purchased all of our gear and did our advanced open water training. We have gone on 3 dive trips with Dan and his group and had a good time on all. We have met many wonderful fellow divers through our dive trips who have been equally helpful in our continuing education.

My husband and I had searched around in the Madison area to get our dive certification in a shorter period of time and not take up multiple weekends.  We called and spoke with Dan the owner and he was extremely flexible and has all the gear and facilities in his own shop.  Dan was extremely patient with his training and is extremely passionate about safely teaching others his love of the ocean.  Dan was also an incredible resource for all things scuba and even took us on a mini tour of his museum.  My husband and I plan on having our children certified when they are old enough as well.We really enjoyed our time with him and would give him our highest recommendation.  After having this on our bucket list for 20 years, Dan was able to help make this happen for us.  Thank you Dan !

My husband, 17 year old daughter and I all took the 3 day certification course with Loves Park Scuba in June 2013 to prepare for our vacation to the Southern Caribbean early next year.  The instructors were fantastic and thorough in making sure all of us were comfortable.  My husband had prior experience with diving but my daughter and I were new to it.  Dan Johnson and his staff made sure we were all comfortable and that we understood the equipment and safety guidelines while still making the course fun and exciting.  Doing our open water dive certification at Pearl Lake was so much fun.  The lake has so much to explore and see and has designated dive areas allowing the "newbies" to feel safe and secure while fine tuning new skills.  I can't wait to join Loves Park Scuba in more diving excursions.

My 20 year old son and I decided to get certified this summer.  Dan and his team at Loves Park Scuba were GREAT!  The classes were excellent, the pool sessions were great, and the open water dives were awesome. Loves Park Scuba worked with me regarding scheduling due to my work demands; worked with all levels of students; gave students time to get comfortable with the skills; and overall made this a great experience.  My son and I are looking forward to joining Loves Park Scuba's dive trips, advancing our training, and enjoying this sport.  You will not find a better experience!  The price was more than excellent, the expertise of Dan and his Loves Park Scuba team was very high, great instruction, great equipment....you won't find a better place to get certified !!
