Alright so hear me out... I was at the pep boys waiting for my oil change and I wanted to have somewhere a bit more private to have a phone discussion with someone so I walked over to Lowe's and found myself a comfy chair and table and sat in it. No one bothered or questioned me, some workers saw me but saw that I was respectfully testing out the furniture and they were fine with it. I didn't eat or take my mask off. And after a while I felt comfortable being there because I heard the announcement say, "stay cool remember to take a break from the heat and be careful" I really appreciated that. The real feel was 100+ that day Also the older door man/security was sweet as soon as I came in and when I was leaving too! Just great overall
My experience was great ! Went to purchase a refrigerator and a gentle named Kevin helped me. He was very attentive and paid attention to what I was looking for. I had just left Home Depot from an awful customer service experience and Kevin from lowes made me happy that I came to lowes. Not only did I buy a refrigerator, but I ended buying a new stove too. He got my delivery to my house the next day first appointment. Thank you Kevin you the best!
We were greeted by a man named Efren who was just so friendly and pointed us to where we needed to go. I went in to get store credit or exchange a vanity due to the product looking different from the picture. As we got there the sales associate at customer service was iffy and made it seem like the product was not legit. She calls another sales associate and that person had the same reaction. Now the third sales associate who might have been the manager was slight rude. She asked why the vanity is different from the picture of the box we had. If they would have listened in the first place then y would’ve known that is the reason why we are exchanging or returning the product. They were Trisha, Rene,and I didn’t get to see the name tag of the other woman. So we were at the vanity section where we were approached by Faisal who helped us through choosing a vanity that would suite us. He even went above and beyond to making the transaction of the purchase. Jeff and Ana also approached us asking if we needed help. If it was just them and the guy named Efren who I dealt with I would’ve rated the store five stars. Those women at customer service just needs a tad bit of training with customer service.
Easy to get to from route 80. Great selection. Sometimes difficult to find help- when you do they are very knowledgeable. Check out lines can be very long! 3.5% sales tax! Worth getting you large appliances here. They deliver and install. Great garden section as well. They also carry pool supplies. The had chlorine when no one else in north Jersey did.
The process of purchasing and getting a pair doors installed was frustrating and a waste of time. This afternoon I received an email and text confirming my door measurement appointment had been scheduled with NJA Remodeling & Home. After looking at their reviews online I noticed NJA's more recent reviews for installing doors were very poor. I then called Lowe's Customer Care and requested to have another contractor do my door installation and I was told "that's not possible." The rep I was speaking with clearly didn't know what to do and how to respond and after an additional 10-15 minutes of confusing back and forth he ended the call by advising me that the store manager will give me a call. With a little over a day before my scheduled appointment I had little faith Lowe's would come through with my request so I decided to visit the store. As per my previous visits when I arrived to the Mill Work section of the store there were no employees in site. You could walk down as many aisles as you want but you will not have any luck finding a rep to help you. After some time I went to customer service I will add that THEY have always been helpful, they made a couple of attempts to get someone to help me but nobody responded to the pages. I requested to speak with the manager and after another 2-3 pages and calls by the customer service rep, no manager ever came to speak with me. I then requested to cancel my service and asked for a refund. This whole process took up 2 weeks of my time, holding up a current project just to end in zero results. This whole process greatly frustrated me especially when I pretty much begged Lowe's to take my money and they continuously fumbled the process.
Don't ever shop here. They sold me a defective dishwasher, after requesting a refund or replacement, they promised to swap it out for a new one, couldn't come through with the swap out, scheduled pick up and refund of the defective washer, never came to pick up the defective product even after multiple calls to both the corporate and fulfillment stores. I literally had to drive 40 minutes to the fulfillment store and force the store manager to coordinate the pick up with the trucking company and Lowes Corporate. Such a nightmare!
This store is amazing unless you need help or accommodation. Don’t even think of returning your appliances, so buy in Home Depot instead. And Sal is nasty too. I tried returning a Washing Machine, but he said it is past the 48 hour window and wouldn’t even give me a store credit. To top it off when I left, wheeling my large cart, the automatic door wouldn’t open, but he ignored me and walked right by, making me maneuver around with my cart and manually open the door. So nasty. Shop where you’re wanted.
I had to return some broken Craftsman tools for warranty and was interrogated for 10 minutes about where I bought them and how long ago? They don't want to honor the lifetime guarantee that it clearly says on the tool and said I had to buy new ones and mail the broken ones to Craftsman. Went to a different Lowe's and they gladly swapped out the broken ones for new with no hassle. The parking lot is full of low buck contractors trying to hustle a job and every car in the lot had several business cards stuck in the window trim and flyers under the wipers. No security outside to scare them off because they are too preoccupied with trying to catch someone stealing inside. Don't go to this location!!!
If I could give -100 stars, I would. Kaprice was no help for our garbage disposal return. She opened the box, touch the condiments of the item. Then proceeded to tell us she could do nothing because of the return policy, even though we explained we are renovating a condo and the plumber was able to preform this week and indicated to us the piece would not fit and we need a smaller one. We were looking to exchange the piece and get the difference back. No help. Not even the Manger would help! Just a loss in time and money.
Firstly, never buy an appliance from Lowes. Never. HD offers better pricing, service, and cheaper warranties. Secondly, the staff here can be accommodating, or you can get stuck with someone like Sal. He is an uncaring and mean manager, only caring about keeping his store empty. He accommodated nothing, and points you to small fine prints. Stay away and shop elsewhere-where they value your business.
