My go-to for all of my home needs, especially holiday decorations. Lowe's has quality products at great prices. This particular store has some great employees who are always there to lend a hand. Shout out to Katie S. in the front end. She is a spectacular employee who will bend over backwards to provide great service!
over all a good hardware store, they have most anything you want. however customer service is lacking most times its hard to find help. the help is good and knowledgeable when you can find someone and prices are about average.
I love going here to shop for all my home improvement needs. It has everything from lights to wood, candies, Halloween decorations ect. My kids also love to come here also because they ride on the blue carts for wood. Don't tell nobody. The prices are normal for the area also. I would recommend shopping here for all your household needs.
Went for porch paint at Altoona store on Saturday. 2 girls working paint section. Girl i dealt with said she had no time for questions. She was so rude. Had my 3 year old grandaughter with me. She said pappy, she is so mean!! Went to Home Depot and spent $750 on paint. Gave Lowe's $55,000 on home improvements this past year. Running into employees like this steers me away!! Beware
Way to go Lowes. I ordered a bathtub 2 months ago, have been WAITING on it and you send me an email the day before delivery to tell me its canceled. Hello, I am a Nurse. Not everyone has bankers hours to be able to read an email in 1 day. So you just cancel an order bc I didnt respond in 1 day? Well guess what it was a simple fix, my card was Locked for security so you just lost a few thousand more dollars in sales. Great Customer Service! Seriously? WAITING on this tub has already held up this project 2 months. Oh and how about the stove I bought and it arrived with the entire side dented in and I had to WAIT again on it. Very unsatisfied. I have a washer and dryer ordered and WAITING on it too. So I have had to WAIT MONTHS on you Lowes and you could only WAIT 1 DAY for a response from me! SERIOUSLY? If you want to WAIT Lowes is the place to go.
I appreciate the flooring team tracking down a missing pallet of tiles so that we could finish a bathroom project! Great customer service. Thank you.

Some of the prices r better then Home Depot but I prefer Home Depot bc they have Home Depot Pro Extra Account where u get more savings
Their people are great as long as you treat them like human beings and are respectful. I've seen customers treat them like garbage and still expect to be treated like royalty, it's pathetic. They do what they can for their customers and will go above and beyond if treated right. They have a great selection of products and services in this location especially their paint department. They have an amazing staff that can really perform miracles with colors as long as you understand that sometimes it's just may not be perfect. Like I said as long as you treat them kindly and are reasonable they will do everything in their power for their customers. Highly recommend this location for all your home improvement needs!
As big box stores go, it's Lowe's. Large store, lots of building materials, appliances, and any other variety of home improvement items. Prices are very good on some things, and not so great on others. Like any other extremely large home improvement store, it's sometimes a chore to find an associate to help with questions or to locate products. But to Altoona Lowe's credit, the employees generally know what you're asking for or at least where to find someone who does. Generally my first stop, especially being a 5 minute trip from home.
