Let's start by saying that I'm giving TWO stars because I think the staff here is great. Their in-store products are what needs help. I showed up to buy a freezer because ours bit the dust. I found one on the for that I wanted... not in stock, though. So we checked 4 MORE UNITS, and they were ALL out of stock. I figured it was just a busy time of year, so I came home and ordered one from them online. It arrived THE NEXT MORNING. Sounds cool and all, but why in the world are there none in stock at the store if you can order them online for next-morning delivery? I think you can do better.
Had a really poor experience buying decking from Lowe’s, no one wanted to help us and when they did it was like they were being inconvenienced by us. The forklift operator was hitting racks when bringing the decking down and then was completely unhelpful getting it loaded. They all kept rolling their eyes like we were a problem. My wife and I will never spend money at Lowe’s again
Definitely could make buying process smoother! Between purchase of damaged fridge delivered to the process of returning waiting for another no one answers the phone to simply purchasing a propane tank only to wait 20 minutes for a “key holder”. Just asked for money back…..Why don’t they leave key with customer service? When the key holder doesn’t respond to 6 urgent intercom pages …. Unreal! It was not even close to busy. Slow night! Get it together for your people.
Just wow, two trips 70 miles to the store, for which the sales gal Knew in conversations. No interest in actually making a sale. On the second trip, negotiations failed not big deal, with the sales otherwise found a different model we liked that we were not taking someone else's cast offs, couldn't get anyone to actually come to the area and process the sale... Mary was super helpful. Found the fridge, made sure it was in stock.... thank you Mary, you tried, at least.
Large box store with a lot of inventory but very few staff. If you know what you need, it is fine. Waited 20 mins for assistance in power tool department. Picked up online order in customer service.
Hesitant to write a review as all the feedback from Lowe’s is the same “sorry for your frustration” yet nothing seems to change as I just arrived home from an awful experience at Lowe’s!! No one and I mean no one helped me!! I had a cart full of bathroom fixtures and needed help buying a vanity! I could not lift it - didn’t have a dolly…kept asking and each employee said “I’m going on break.” Stood there in the aisle, finally someone brought me a dolly and expected me to lift this huge vanity on the dolly and pull both the vanity on the dolly and my cart full of fixtures by myself to checkout and load into car!! No check out clerks…no help! Certain a Lowe’s Rep will respond to my experience today with the phrase “I’m sorry for your frustration” and no changes will be made!!
Just got our carpet installed yesterday they did an awesome job, special thanks to Jim and Chase in flooring for a very pleasurable experience. Job well done from start to finish. I wouldn’t shop anywhere else. Kevin Urbatch.
The Rapid City, SD location sucks completly. I ordered a nearly $5K zero turn lawn mower that arrived at the store on a Friday. It was scheduled for pickup on Saturday. I called to see if it was ready, and it was not. It is now Wednesday 4 days later, and cannot even get anyone to answer their phone. The one time someone answered, I was told to hold, and was disconnected. I tried to call back 6 times, and there is no answer. I let the phone ring for over an hour. Lowes is a joke at customer service. I will be canceling my order and purchasing from another business.
I am very grateful for their customer service and how they value people. For instance there is a man named Grant that works there, he is mentally impaired but always has a smile and is high off life. Lowe's employs him and he is a great asset to the company. He brings joy to everyone that comes in. Often times I will see his line 20 feet long. Stop in. Not only is the selection and deals great, but the value that Lowe's has for their customers and employees is well worth supporting them. Keep up the great work Lowe's!
So on Aug 1 the 1 and only checkout staff member was having some sort of ongoing mental crisis and/or Tourettes outburst for the entire hour I was there, yelling at the top of his lungs and generally scaring the customers...the rest of the staff just ignored him. Really strange experience.
