Mark was very very helpful. We came looking for a smoker and we got the pit boss pro series. Mark talked to us about the item, answered our questions, gave us an honest review based on his own experience with the same product, and helped us load it on a cart. Very pleased
Do not shop at Lowe's. My bad experiences with them have been nothing but bad. They did a terrible job on our fence installation, and it took over 20 phone calls and months before they finally sent someone competent to fix it. Whenever I tried calling the store, I couldn't reach any management personnel. Even when I went in person and asked to speak to upper management, they claimed there was no one available to assist me. I requested a refund for the installation due to all the issues, but they refuse. Last year, we also tried to buy a washer and dryer from them, but on the delivery day, we were told it was accidentally sold to someone else, and they had to reorder it. When I complained in-store, they didn't seem to care about keeping my business and just offered a refund. It’s generous to even give them one star because they do not deserve it.
They just don't train their employees. I've been told several different answers to the same question by every person I talk to. Most recently I ordered some stuff for pick up and they couldn't find it so they told me they would reorder it. Called back the next day cause they cancelled my order instead of getting it in for me. Don't recommend. Head cashier Brenda is awful.
Unfortunately, they didn't carry the lawnmower item I had gone for. What made my trip not such a waste was a very helpful employee. Even though he had been busy working, he stopped, and we spoke for a while and was really informative about what I could do and where else I could possibly get what I needed.
Beware!!!!! I have had the worst experience buying a washer and dryer from them. It took them three different dryers to give me one that works. You have to call a thousand different numbers to figure out who can help you. The Carbondale Lowe’s store will tell you to call customer care because it is not their responsibility even though you bought it from their store. It took about the spand of a month from the purchase date to have a working dryer. I spent $2,000 on the set and had this much of a headache. They give you the run around about who can help to fix it. I was promised a 10% discount and never received it due to all the trouble. Store Manager is absolutely no help and will tell you well at least you have a working dryer now. I will never recommend this headache of a store to no one.
The staff were not knowledgeable nor were they helpful. I walked around for hours trying to find the covers for LED lights that go in the ceiling. Someone sent me down an isle with nothing like that. The aisle was actually all the way at the back of the store in isle 49. I wasted minutes of my life I can never get back again. I want my time back! No one knew where to find these things. So, to get rid of me they just send me down a random aisle and say that's where it is! I used to like Lowe's, but now I realize they need real help there.
Store leadership is woefully lacking in customer service skills and that is now reflected in a formerly competent staff. I acknowledge that retail is a challenging field presently, but leaders at the Lowes store in Carbondale, IL are broken and have just given up. They don't care.
i bought a new washing machine in March 2023 having it delivered March 7, 2023. The two guys came from st louis to deliver the washing machine two hours late. When i walked outside after they did get here they were getting the washing machine out of the back of the truck. The driver handed me my house number sign that was out in my yard close to the road. he said he missed my mailbox but took down this sign. After further review they had actually missed my drive and pulled across the ditch causing a gouge in my asphalt driveway. I spent two hours that night trying to talk to the manager of lowes by phone . There was none to be found there. Next day i drove there to speak to the manager on duty in person. still none on duty. The woman at the service desk was very helpful and started the claim process for the damage estimate was nearly 2k I heard nothing for several days and again went back to lowes and spoke to manager levi he assured me that lowes would pay the damage. Another week passed and i went back and talked to manager drew. He assured me that the damage would be paid for. Again another week passed and nothing. I received and email from kala ocasio who said that the claim was being processed but then received another saying the claim was denied because the drivers were claiming they never drove on my driveway at all. She works for Mearsk is one of the companies involved in the lowes delivery process and said she could only SUGGEST they pay for the damages but couldnt make them. i went back to lowes and talked to drew. He put me in contact with Justin Klienmann of Pilot another of the companies that is involved in the delivery process . I talked to justin at length and he agreed that it was virtually impossible for them not to drive on my driveway and carry the washer at least 300 feet to the house and blocking the road in front of my house for at least 45 minutes. i sent him photographs of the damages also along with lowes He said he had to talk to JILL another agent of pilot and would get back to me.. nothing. I finally called the main manager of lowes, ryan and left him several voicemails which he didnt return the calls. I finally used a different phone to call which he answered. said he wouldnt have answered except he was walking by his phone when it rang. he said lowes wasnt responsible for the deliveries cause they subcontract them out. i said then when you sell an appliance you need to tell people you're not responsible for any damages when the two thugs from st louis deliver them. he said he couldnt sell appliances then if he told them the truth. i received a letter from Keith Sowells of Synergy/pilot/lowes stating this was a fraudulant claim since i didnt have video proof that they even came in my driveway to my house. i called keith and had a decent conversation with him about the damage. He said he would talk to the driver and call me right back. i waited the entire day and no call. I tried to call him back several times and my number was blocked from getting through to him. I used a different number at which time he answered. He told me his drivers said they never drove on my driveway. synergy is the jokers that actually deliver the applianaces. so i guess if you dont keep the video to lowes delivering its like it didnt happen to them. So lowes response to this review is to call the customer service number because this issue has been escalated. The customer service person tells me he cannot do anything about this issue. It’s in the hands of the third party to deal with that lowes doesn’t take responsibility for their deliveries since they contract them out so after calling the number given in lowes response the guy at customer service told me he didnt know why i would be calling him as there was a clam made already that it was between me and the trucking company......that lowes had no responsibility in this matter. Lowes hires Pilot to contract out the delivery service . Pilot hires Mearsk to hire Synergy trucking to deliver
Lowe’s has very poor customer service!!! I sent my son in to get vent registers for me and he was charged for three when he only got two. When I called to ask about it….the first time there was no answer. The second time, I was told by the girl that there was nothing she could do since we had left the store and there was no way to prove we only got two. I was put on hold for 20 minutes waiting for a manager and the call was never answered. The third time I called I got a new guy at the customer service desk and he put me on hold and when he picked back up he said he spoke with the manager and they said there was nothing they could do about it. When I asked to speak with the manager, I was hung up on. When I called a fourth time, I spoke with Alex and she said there was nothing they could do. I told her I know there are cameras everywhere at the check outs and they could look and see how many he actually had. She said after an hour, that the video is deleted automatically and there wasn’t anything she could do about. I can not believe how little this company values the people that shop there. All I wanted was to see if we could come and pick up a third one since we had paid for it and didn’t get it. I was told no, that I couldn’t prove we didn’t get three. Absolutely horrible customer service!!!!
Didn't have the paint sprayer I needed to paint my but learn that they rental department were I can one. All these years and I never but are not reasonably priced tough. I love Lowes the store is an old friend.
