We are a 100% Volunteer department responding to 500–600 calls a year. Our department is comprised of three stations, Alburtis, Brandywine and Wescosville.
The Lower Macungie Fire Department proudly protects 31,000
people living in an area of 23 square miles. We operate out of
two stations that protect a primarily residential area. We are a
100% Volunteer department responding between 400 – 500 calls
a year. Thank you to our family, friends, and community that
support us in our efforts to serve the Lower Macungie Township
with professional service and pride.
LMFD was originally founded as the Wescosville Fire Company.
As population of the township spread and the needs of the township grew the department reformed as the Lower Macungie Fire Department.
