I hate to leave a negative review, the doctors are great, but the billing is never right. I've discussed with the billing office many times. Sometimes they'll correct it, sometimes they won't. They are essentially committing insurance fraud. We'll have a 5 minute visit with the doctor and they'll bill for an hour appointment because we sat waiting for 55 minutes. I'm done with them. Also, $1,000 for a flu and covid test seems a bit steep.
The doctor I went to see here was great. Paid my copay and thought that was it. Then I got a second bill for some "Clinic Fee"? I've never heard of this before. I request itemized information and they cannot provide what it actually covers. Every other doctor I've ever seen, specialist or not, has only ever had ONE bill. I pay my copay and that's it. This additional bill seems like a complete scam and preying upon people who are seeking medical help.
Very conveniently located. Loyola has a medical staff and support staff that is 2and to none. I went in to make a bloodwork appointment and Carol was the receptionist. She was very efficient, asked clarifying questions and was funny as hell. She made my day. It's nice to deal with people that are happy in life and Happy at work as well. And if she isn't she sure fooled me and sure acted like it. Being not of the best health can drag you down, but only if you allow it.
This location does NOT offer lab work without an appointment OR without a primary care physician’s orders. Even if you go to immediate care and they think that’s what you need. I went here because the website and person I called said they’d be able to do those services on the spot. When they couldn’t, it cost me double in additional visits, trips back and forth, and days off work. Soonest appointment they could get me was weeks away, but my paint continued, so eventually I wen elsewhere. Exam rooms were dusty, including spiders. I recommend the DuPage Medical Group down the street instead.
Immediate Care users BEWARE!! They will try to improperly charge your insurance for everything they can! You'll get an emergency doctor without the emergency, just the costs. After verifying the costs with my insurance, I was shocked to see an exorbent bill for routine visits which should have been billed as copays. Customer Service gave me the run around for 3 months until it went to collections, despite it being in review. Service was very low quality as well, I had to go to a 3rd doctor to get the proper treatment.
Myself and my four children all see Dr. Sara Doss. If she is unavailable for an acute visit we have seen Dr Kevin Posley. Both are exceptional. We couldn’t be more satisfied with the service we receive from Loyola. If I leave a message on the nurse’s line, it is answered that same day. Even though Dr. Doss is booked up pretty far in advance, she never rushes you.. she addresses every concern..she’s just an outstanding physician and We are so glad we found her!
I went to the hospital, on 23 December 2020 to have blood drawn for my wife as I have many times before. My my wife has a chronic illness to which she has to have blood checked regularly and I've never had an issue. Unfortunately today I was serviced by the most unprofessional rude individual that I've ever had a displeasure of meeting in the medical field in my entire years of bringing my wife to this particular facility. I'm not sure if the young lady was having a bad day, had an issue over my wife's ethnicity or the fact that we were a biracial couple.. my wife had to have eight tubes of blood drawn each time she made sure that the exchange of tubes was painful, and the exchange was done as rudely and unprofessional as it could possibly be. To the point where my wife was almost in tears and it took everything I could do not to be rude and lose my temper on the young lady. Is this the type of employees we are now having treat patients with chronic illnesses and the epitome of employees that this establishment hires to represent this prestigious clinic? this makes me wonder if I should continue to bring my wife here or if I should seek her care in another place that will be more concerned and sensitive to the chronic illness that she has to deal with everyday while having to endure the unprofessionalism and lack of empathy of the employees that we had to face today. The careless of the whole process has left me wondering if the blood collected will be handled in the appropriate manner and not be tampered with or misplaced, coagulated or contaminated before it is no longer viable to be tested. Thank you in advance Tom Swaite
I asked before I went in how do you charge. I was told just a Co-Pay just like seeing you Doctor. I confirmed not like an emergency room visit. After being checked in the Doctor came in looked and my sons tongue said it will heel on it's own. The hole thing took less than 3 min. I paid the $35 co pay. 2 weeks later the bill me for $179.00. When I called I was told they bill the Doctor and the hospital separately. I specifically asked do the bill like an emergency room and they told me "no".
The clinic staff was helpful. Accounts payable department is a disaster: they sent me the bill with the wrong amount 3 times, despite my healthcare coordinators advocating for me. Won't be using their services again: "Palos Health" is a great alternative with billing department charging the right amount.
Loyola medical center is actually trying to charge you as much as they can and provides as poor service as they can. They even charge me the fee that does not belong to me. Nurse is not responsible and slack all the time. They don't give you a call for a schedule until you suffer pain for even several weeks. Really not recommend this medical center. Please stay away from them.
