I came to Texas to help my my bio dad's 4th wife make arangements for him. Based on a recomendation from someone she knew, we used the Lucas funeral home in Keller TX. We worked with funeral director John H. Under the circumstances, he did such an amazing job. I have been astranged from bio-dad and as such had little input to give, and his widow had been isolated caring for him and found it difficult to make decisions. As she lacked intimate friends to help her, and I had little to offer due to no context, John stepped in and led us through the process with compassion and humor. He helped us put together a respectful and kind service and managed to stitch together a memorial, had the color guard play taps and took care of so many details. I highly reccomend working with John.

I was very moved by the service that was offered by Karen and Doug during the time my wife was experiencing the loss of her mother. I was very thankful that they were forthcoming of anything we needed! I never once heard the word "No"! My wife and I have our funeral set up for us at the Keller Lucas Mortuary home! Never once where we pressured for prices. We both agree if anyone asks for services at a funeral home we will mention Lucas Mortuary! Thank you Caryn and Doug for a great job! No one wants to shop around for a funeral home or have a poor encounter when they need one. Lucas Funeral Home was wonderful to work with and they truly cared about our situation and wanted to make everything perfect. The communication was excellent. Unfortunately, I had the grim task of locating a funeral home for my brother-in-law for his sudden unexpected death. I reviewed four funeral homes before arriving at Lucas Funeral Home in Keller. Today, many funeral homes still carry local names, but a few large corporations own them. Lucas Funeral Home is locally owned and operated, and no detail is left unturned. Some of the local funeral homes I visited had demographic pricing. If the funeral home is in an affluent area, you pay more. The same company could own several funeral homes in the area, which happened when I visited three locations, and every price was different. Lucas had one price for all of their places regardless of demographic. Lucas was indeed a breath of fresh air in a particularly stale environment. Marcie Russell, that works with Lucas, was compassionate, kind, and deeply moved by our story, which meant the world to us. She listened and made suggestions based on our limited budget and needs. We had approximately five hundred attendees between the funeral and streaming services that Lucas helped arrange. Marci and her team met every need the process was seamless. The youngest members of the family were 11 and 15, who both struggled profoundly with the sudden death of their father. Lucas provided a service dog, "Frankie" for the kids emotional support. Marci recommended a location that gave the children privacy to grieve in their own space and watch the service simultaneously. The family felt the service perfectly reflected the loving husband, father of four, son, brother, and uncle we all loved so dearly.
