Lucille's Smokehouse Bar-B-Que, Montebello

I don't understand how people give this place a good rating. Maybe they are rating this location because of service. The service is very good I've never had a bad experience with that. But the food quality is not good. I've come to this location several times and the food tastes old, tastes likes it was previously prepared and reheated microwaved?, not fresh. This really applies to the meat served here. The meat tastes old like it was prepared another time/day and then reheated & served. The biscuits were not freshly prepared or baked. They have a refrigerator/freezer back taste and so does the rest of the food. The last meal I personally ordered here was the fried chicken. And that was definably the worst fried chicken I've ever had. The chicken was dry, overcooked and had a strong cool box after taste. The chicken was definitely not freshly battered and cooked. And the rest of the meals my family of 4 had was equally as bad. My wife's salad was wilted and not fresh. My daughter's nachos included stale chips and old odd tasting meat. And the food cost is not cheap. So for us it was a total loss. I cannot recommend this place.

We stumbled upon this restaurant because it was across the street from our hotel and the smell wafting gloriously through the air every time we came outside led us there. It has a neat southern charm atmosphere from the moment you step inside. The food was pretty tasty and they have 3 BBQ sauces on the table to use as needed. I ordered the baby back ribs lunch special and upgraded to the corn chowder as a side. My friend got pulled pork and smoked brisket lunch special with garlic mashed potatoes. They also provide biscuits with a whipped sweet seasoned butter that they call "apple butter" but isn't the traditional type. Everything was very tasty. The servers were all helpful and friendly. I would definitely recommend and return myself.

Went to happy hour with friends last Friday, happy hour from 3pm to 7pm Monday to Friday and 9pm to close. Not sure about happy hour in other location. Service is good server is very friendly, happy hour is only served in the bar and the high table by the bar area. Will try other items on the happy hour menu next time. Check out the photos here. Service was ok. I understand they can be really busy. I appreciate the work everyone does to serve a lot of people. The wait for food was a long time but it is understandable. Food was ok.Food: 4/5

I've been to Lucilles before, I am a big fan of the vibes and especially the food. It was my second time coming to this location, and I was NOT impressed. The service was so robotic and rushed. The restaurant was slow today. There weren't many people, no special deals, so just a normal day. I was sitting at one of the booths where you could see inside the kitchen, and I was SHOOK!! The kitchen appliances that I could see were COVERED IN DUST!!!! That is so gross : I could read one, and it was a water filtration system. The dust was caked on... I am so disappointed. I wish the pictures I took were a bit clearer just so you could see what I was seeing. If I were GM, I would make sure my store was clean, especially parts my guests could see.

I ordered the family meal that feeds 12. The food was amazing ! The customer service was very good. The only issue I had was the drinks . I order a couple different margaritas and martinis but It was just to basic and simple for me !

Fenix was such an amazing and attentive server! She was so sweet and kind and even her manager was so attentive and helpful. Wonderful experience and I can't wait to go back!!Food: 5/5

We enjoyed are meals service was great always their for refills and seen if anything was needed .atmosphere was good had games on also music just high enough so you can also hear the game order more than I could eat but all that means is I have a lil snack later.Food: 5/5

Fast service and tasty food. Big entree portions too! Our waitress Bella was great. We didn’t think the Hatch Green Chile Cheese Grits were worth the upgrade since it was not as flavorful as the other sides we picked.Recommended dishesTheir Signature BBQ Sauce, Deviled Eggs
