Owned and operated by the family Lucic.
Milan Lucic born and raised in Ugrinovci, a suburban settlement of Belgrade and Ljiljana Lucic born in Gornji Milanovac, city originally named Despotovac, by the river Despotovica that passes through the city.
They have met thanks to the lack of public transportation in Serbia:) And eventually found out they both had a passion for preparation of delicious tradiotional Serbian food. Yes,if you are Serbian or Bosnian you will know that all of our grandmas have the same passion for making food and making the rest of us eat it, but these two opened a business after they discovered it:)
Coincidentally, Milan was leaning towards preparation of meat and deli products, and Ljiljana leaned towards desserts. Possibly because of the social structure but this is a story for another page.
The have owned and operated this business now for over 8 years and here you may find:
All imported Eastern European products from ex Yugoslavia including smoked meats(which are prepared/smoked in the United States)
Homemade cevaps( skinless beef sausages),
Raznjici(simple yet delicious collection of your favorite meats usually prepared on grill),
Homemade bread and pastries made fresh every morning without any preservatives.
Homemade cookies and cakes , decorated by order.
Burek (homemade stretched dough filled with cheese/cheese & spinach or meat) made by, very well known to all of European small business owners, Bojan Aleksic who lives with his wife Svetlana Vujanic Aleksic and two beautiful kids in Chicago, IL
On the weekends freshly roasted pork and lamb.
There is much more to say but the owner Milan believes that a word shared from a someone who has tried the food, to another man does more for commercial than an actual ad.
I obviously think an ad can't hurt and know you can't always please everyone so i urge you to be your own judge of the food you try at this small business with a big heart.
