If you have seen an Elaine Turner Ad, flipped through a David Peck Look Book, or perused Houstonia, Houston, Brides in Houston, Harper's Bazaar, or Vogue magazines, then you are already familiar with Aubrie Layne’s work. Native Texan Aubrie Layne honed her incredible talent under the tutelage of Laura Mercier as a Global Artist and Educator in the US, UK and Asia, and for more than a decade has created beautiful faces around the world. Her vast experience led her to open Lucky Cat Beauty Studio in 2015.
Ms. Layne’s Lucky Cat Beauty Studio offers an exclusive collection of curated beauty brands including Ellis Faas Cosmetics, La Peau Skincare, X Compound, The BrowGal, Beauty for Real, Esum Brushes, Balmain Hair Couture and Lucky Cat Beauty’s own line of lashes, tools and makeup. The lashes are the corner stone of Layne’s brand, a line she developed after years of searching for the perfect faux lashes while working with the world’s most prestigious lash manufacturer. Aubrie designed and launched her custom lash line with names representing some of her favorite cities: Chi City, Las Vegas, Lonestar, Miami, San Fran, and Tokyo. Ms. Layne’s Lucky Cat Beauty lashes have been worn on the likes of A-list celebrities such as Beyoncé, Rachel Weisz, and Victoria’s Secret Pink Catalog.
Aubrie has been recognized for her work in beauty as well as her voluntarism and philanthropy, including as December 2014 Allure Magazine’s “Brow Guru”, January 2015 Houston Modern Luxury’s “Best Makeup Artist”. Her passion for giving back to the community and working while living with rheumatoid arthritis led to being honored by the Arthritis Foundation as 2016’s Adult Honoree at their fall gala.
Additionally, Ms. Layne serves as Beauty Director for Houston’s largest fashion event, Heart of Fashion., in collaboration with Heart of Fashion Founder and Houston Philanthropist and Fashionista Vivian Wise, created Heart of Fashion’s signature 'Pink Poodle' lipstick as part of her beauty brand.
Aubrie’s newest endeavor is to grow her brand and consulting projects, including Signature Services offering custom designed cosmetics and lip products for brides, non-profits, salons and small businesses.
