My Why…
Like many people, I have a substantial amount of college debt. I chose a professional path that is known for not being lucrative. I have a passion for wildlife and the environment. I am originally from Louisiana where I obtained an undergraduate degree in Wildlife Ecology from LSU. If you know anybody with a love for the environment, then you probably know that we work extremely hard for LITTLE TO NO MONEY. After graduating, I took a wildlife internship in Vermont working mainly with bats. I love working with those fuzzy little creatures of the night! After my internship was complete, I took two more internships, one at the Audubon Zoo in New Orleans and another at Wings of Hope Wildlife Sanctuary in Livingston, LA. Through these internships, I gained many amazing life experiences that most people probably couldn’t even dream about. I wanted to learn more, so I moved to Greensboro, North Carolina to get my Master’s Degree in Biology. After graduating with another degree, I needed to find a real job to pay for my debt. I was a high school Environmental Science Teacher for five months. I have worked with hawks, snakes, and rats, but nothing is scarier than teenagers! Finally, I landed in my current job. I am a city employee in the Department of Water Resources. I monitor restaurants and industries to make sure they do not pollute our water sources.
To pay off my student loans and continue helping the environment, I chose to join LuLaRoe. I have heard good things about the company and I have heard bad things. However, after being a student for MANY years, I have learned how to do my research. The good definitely outweighs the bad! First, the clothing helps women become more confident in themselves. Women come in all different shapes and sizes, and LuLaRoe’s adult sizes range from XXS to XXXL. These styles range from sexy form-fitting dresses to elegant flowy tees. Women come from different backgrounds and have many different personalities and interests. Every lady is unique. Each LuLaRoe print is sewn into only ~2,000 garments, so each one is very limited. It would be a very rare sight to see two ladies showing up to the same party in the same LuLaRoe dress! Second, LuLaRoe has allowed thousands of women to become to boss of their small business and, in turn, financially support themselves and their families. Finally, LuLaRoe is a very ethical company centered around giving. LuLaRoe encourages their consultants to participate in fundraisers and will even match the donations. LuLaRoe has facilities located in many different countries, and the employees are treated right and are paid a livable income. This cannot be said about some US industries. Overall, LuLaRoe is a very reputable company that I stand behind.
