Lumière is a photography gallery featuring the work of over 75 established photographers, including vintage and contemporary prints. Its collection is the largest in the Southeastern United States.
Lumière provides a diverse range of photographic art through its own proprietary collection, regular exhibitions and acquisition activities on behalf of clients.
The gallery has work from over 75 photographers. They range from masters of the 19th and 20th century to more contemporary practitioners. All are established, with works in important museum collections, as well as having participated in multiple exhibitions. Most have had multiple books and catalogues published on their work. The gallery’s collection is available in a virtual mode through this web site (www.lumieregallery.net) as well as in person at our physical location, in the Buckhead section of Atlanta, Georgia.
Exhibitions are augmented by lectures in partnership with leading institutions, talks at the gallery and through film screenings. Recent exhibitions may also be viewed on line for up to two years from the date of the show. Many of the artists’ talks and film screenings are also available on line.
Lumière was founded to advance the understanding and appreciation of photography. The gallery has also supported a range of photography initiatives at the secondary school and university levels.
