First time at the ER with COVID symptoms. Test negative for COVID, so apparently that was the end of the road for me. Had me see a virtual ER physician I met with for 3 minutes who sent an order in for MOTRIN that you can buy OTC. Ridiculous. Absolutely embarrassing. When I asked the nurse if I could see a real doctor she said she had already discharged me and that another doctor wouldn’t do much more. Alright, thanks cleveland clinic. Went home to Youngstown and was seen at mercy health, it was a kidney infection, but how were we supposed to figure that out with a telehealth visit?? Ridiculous. I’m sure I’ll get a nice $3k bill too!!
Occupational therapy is a joke. They bill you for services supposedly rendered, yet a vast majority of my time during the appointments was waiting for the therapist to come back from another room. They will take you late, and start the next patient after you during your appointment. So the time you spend one on one is minimal, and the attention to your injury is also minimal. It seems like their schedule is perhaps too full to accommodate for new patients, or for people with an injury that is more complex than the norm. If you need physical therapy go elsewhere. I now have more injuries than when I began my treatment and they literally do not care.
My paralyzed dog accidently bit me in September. When I say bit me, I mean the tip of my pinkie finger was no longer attached and dangling. I went to the ER and the nurse brought me back right away. Everyone from the nurses, to the orderly who brought me to X-ray, to the doctor who managed to sew my finger back on were incredible. For everyone who has a one star review, maybe take a step back. These people have an incredibly hard job. Long wait times in the ER because there are people who are in life or death situations. The ER staff can't control how many of those come in everyday. I was brought in right away this time, I've waited 12+ hours in other cases. If you are able to walk out and write a review, maybe just say thank you. Just a thought. For the Lutheran Hospital ER staff, thank you.
There is ABSOLUTELY no privacy for patients‍ what happened to filling out paperwork to explain why you're there?! The receptionist wanted me to say wat was wrong with me in a mic LOUDLY "so she could hear" while security AND 6 other patients were 3 feet behind me in the seating area idk when or why they moved seating so close to check in I'm sure everyone could hear everything I was saying. This made my anxiety go through the roof because I did not want anyone to hear wat was wrong with me so I ran out of there crying my eyes out! Worst emergency room I've ever went through and I'll NEVER come back! This happened 08/28/23 at around 11pm.
This hospital will keep you in like jail....for mental health and treat you like an animal....will try to feed you so many meds you could go insane....just so they can keep you....no insurance you out in 24 hours....and yes I will be filing a complaint with the State Board.....what a joke...please stay away if you need a little mental health...there is people in there who are not enough close to being crazy, and have been there for 4 months held like jail...insane you would do this for MONEY!!! THE TRUTH....

Seen Doctor paNathan Brucs at ER with my son today he was so patient and caring. When we were waiting in the small waiting area with other patients, even they were talking about how awesome and caring he is. We need more of that in this world.
Never again. Cold daily showers,Terrible processed food that made my feet and hands swell like nothing else has in the past 25 years, since the birth of my children. The beside nursing, well the few good were out weighed by the bad. The “house” on-call critical care nurse practitioner was beyond rude, condescending and patronizing. I will never set eyes on this facility again. As a medical professional, I was appalled.
The pharmacy there is awesome! Especially the pharmacy manager. The pharmacy is clean and neat like you would expect in a hospital. The staff is courteous and fast at getting your prescriptions filled. And yes you can get your prescriptions filled there even if you are not visiting the hospital as a patient. I get all my prescriptions there.
I had surgery in September. The food was horrid. After surgery, periodicallly 3 or 4 nurses and aids would show up to discuss their plan. They would leave and nothing was done. I developed diarrhea and they let me lay in a soiled bed for hours. I will look into switching from the Cleveland clinic for care.
