Do not be fooled by the annoying bad reviews. This place had great service, a nice calm atmosphere, and most of all the food was incredible and felt truly homemade. Can’t wait to come back!Food: 5/5
This is one of those places where what you order matters and multiple visits are required to determine their specialty. There is a range as some things are subpar, some acceptable, some the standard good enough and a few shine. Examples: - Subpar: Turon - Acceptable: Tapsilog + BBQ skewer both arrived lukewarm - Standard good: Nilaga lukewarm - Shining star: Lumpiang shanghai Tapsilog is different in that they serve Worcestershire rice rather than stir fried garlic rice. Egg slightly overcooked. Good news is breakfast is served all day. $7.50 for all options and includes tax. Nilaga is concentrated and a little peppery. Their lumpiang shanghai is fantastic. Freshly fried to order so hot upon arrival. While on the tiny side, the wrapper is beautifully thin and crispy and the filling is wonderfully moist and juicy. Still delicious once it cools down too. Highly recommend ordering this for catering! Small food order area is in the back corner within a larger dimly lit dining area. A nice quiet place to eat in peace.
Been here twice no chicken adobo both times.. 2nd time was 11am also no lechon kawaliFood: 4/5
There were several flies hovering while we're eating. The place smells and most likely never cleaned.Food: 1/5
Def coming back here, I don't care how far it is. Made me miss my dad's cooking, back in the day!Food: 5/5
I ordered from this restaurant for my community Holiday Party, we ordered full trays of food from their catering menu, were charged for the full trays but they only sent 1/2 trays. The food was good, but certainly not what we paid for. Becareful when ordering, as their menu is extremely misleading.
A great fast food filipino restaurant. The people are very friendly...seems like a family run business. Lots of choices to choose from
No one attended to me even though I sat there a few minutes. The guy at the counter ignored me. So I sat a few minutes n then walked out. I need to be treated with respect.
I have read mixed reviews, but I have nothing but good things to say about the food. Flavorful, fresh, and hot. Admittedly, place could use a refresh for the decor, pretty dark place, dated. I could see were someone 'might' think the guy at the counter was not the most pleasant; but again, I had no issues. He was a little gruff but still friendly. In short, try this place for good food!
As for cafeteria style Filipino restaurants go this place is standard. I'll never quite understand why a lot of things just aren't hot but that seems to be the case for most of the Filipino restaurants I go. The "silog" breakfast entrees for $7.50 are awesome. A huge helping of rice, a choice of meat, and two eggs will hold you down all day. I tried the pork bbq which was okay but not the best I've had. The lumpia was cold and wasn't crispy so I was a bit sad about that. The lechon was a bit dry and also just a room temp. The best thing I had was definitely the turon dessert. Super sweet and crunchy which I definitely enjoyed. I'd come back again for a quick breakfast.
