Absolutely delicious! I’ve never tried Bolivian food before, only hear how tasty it was from one of my Bolivian friends. I put my questions. Today after having some delicious salteñas! Also enjoyed the pupusas. The prices was very reasonable, and service was prompt. I absolutely recommend trying this restaurant!Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: NoTakeout: Yes
A perfectly adequate and convenient location for saltenas and empanadas in the Falls Church area. Reasonable priced. As for the saltenas, they were smaller and sweeter than traditional but were seasoned well. We can't complain and we might just return.....but won't be going out of our way . We came in during the weekday lunch time and were served quickly for take out although it was busy for sitdown. A good sign and good customer service.
I had high expectations going here as this place has high rates. We ordered Chairo, Fricasé and Salteñas. Food is fresh but having tried the original dishes was a bit disappointed with the flavor of the Fricasé. Chairo flavor was good but I was surprised they made it with chicken and beef as Chairo is with lamb and it is the "chalona" that gives the true flavor. Also it seemed that they added to much soup to the Chairo and Fricasé so portions would look more generous. Salteñas had to much potatoes as a filler. Moconchichi drink was good. If you are looking for true bolivian maybe try somewhere else otherwise food is not bad.
I found the ordering process to be a bit confusing, because I thought I could order my food at the counter and then find a table to sit. So I ended up eating outside, and there was only one table outside should be a few more, but luckily it was empty. Otherwise, the saltenas tasted very good I think. I had one chicken and one beef saltenas. I also had a horchata, it was my first time having a Bolivian horchata. It tasted different from an El Salvadoran or Mexican horchata, but it was still good. The prices were also fair.
A few years ago I tried a few other Bolivian restaurants in the VA area, but wasn’t captivated by the food. but when I went to this place today I knew I had hit the jackpot! Having grown up in Bolivia for 16 years, this brought back so many memories of home. I wanted some friends to try Bolivian food so we ordered close to 7 dishes and split them in addition to some appetizers. we tried soup and multiple drinks, and all of it was amazing, and I felt like an adequate representation of the tastes I wanted them to experience, unlike my previous attempts with other friends. If I were to have been blindfolded I would’ve thought I was back home- and that is the first and only time I could say that in the past 22 years living stateside. I will definitely be making the 12 hr round trip road trip to get back here! I loved it and so did all my friends!!
5 minutes to get the best salteñas I've ever had. You MUST come here!!Food: 5/5
I ordered online to skip the wait and was charged $1.50 for convenience fee. They gave me a time to pick it up so I went during that window. I arrived and my order was not even ready nor in the fryer! I had to wait for another 10-15 minutes. Now, what's the purpose of ordering ahead of time and paying a convenience fee if you still have to wait?! And customer service was not good either. They're not friendly and makes you think you're bothering them. Will not go back!
A small place but real hidden gem in Falls Church. Their weekend platters and specialty Bolivian dishes are great but the real winner here is the quick grab and go bakery items like their chicken or beef saltenas. I have to get them weekly.Food: 5/5
They charge 15 % service charge and also expect you to tip. First time I did not tip.. second time, i tipped… but I think this option to tip should not even be there since the tip is included… se my receipt in the picture.
It was very tasty but the mocochinchi was not up to the standards of others I have tried. The cuñape was not very tasty compared to other places. However, the salteña and the cheese empanada were delicious.
