Areas of Service: Music Therapy and Drum Circle Facilitation
Music therapy involves helping people reach their optimal well-being through music. As an evidence-based treatment modality, targeted music interventions are most commonly used to improve cognitive functioning, motor skills, emotional development, social skills, and quality of life. Working throughout the lifespan, music therapists can be seen beside the incubator with a premature infant or at the bedside of a person in the last moments of life and everything in between.
Drum Circle Facilitation
Drum Circles bring people together using rhythm - the basic foundation of music. Cooperatively creating rhythmic-based music as part of a group is a kinesthetic activity that involves everyone, regardless of musical experience or ability. It leads to a closer connection, stronger teams, group self expression, increased energy and immune response and just plain having fun.
