I frequent this gas station mainly during the third shift hours, and the men's restroom is disgusting! Water all over the floor by the urinal, toilets not flushed, and it smells terrible every time I go in there. The smell is a mix between a bad case of BO and sewer. They need to do a better job with keeping the restroom clean, and they need to do something about that horrible smell too because I smell that same horrible smell everytime I go into the men's restroom on each visit! Update: I am very impressed with how well the owner and management took care of cleaning up the men's restroom! It looks and smells much better!
seriously bad customer service. Though the clerk was not actually rude in speech she definitely was rude in that she took at least 5 minutes to ring up an elderly gentleman. Which, should normally be an okay thing but another clerk male was walking back and forth behind the counter, while letting everyone wait and be late to work. He looked right at everyone and did not open up the second register. Walked back behind the counter twice while chatting with the other attendant. That's rude so I said something. The clerk blamed it on the customer older gentleman in front of me and said that she couldn't help it he was not finished. Which is true, but why let everyone wait when one of the clerk's should have opened up the other register. THAT IS RUDE. Won't stop here again. The workforce need to get going in the morning. There were at least five others waiting in line behind me. People don't care about customer service anymore.
This used to be a nice gas station when it was a Macdonald's Shell but it is awful now! Last week they wanted 65¢ per gallon more than Costco for Premium! A few days ago, my husband couldn't understand a word the cashier said even though he asked him to repeat himself 3 times. Even though they have credit card readers on the pumps, they make you go in and pay before you pump your gas. Recently they wanted $10 for a pack of Marlboros when you can buy them for $8.35 down the street. Now they've been raided by the police for Illinois tax evasion. Doesn't surprise me. Never again!
I pre-paid for gas it pumped 38 cents when I went to see what the problem was the employee said they were out of gas. If you are out of gas why would you take my payment. If I'm not refunded in 24hrs I will contact the proper authorities for fraud
Gas pumps are incredibly slow. I tried 2 different cards at the pump and it would not go past "is this a debit card?" question on screen no matter what I pressed yes, no, cancel, enter Tried to call to tell them their pump is a malfunctioning piece of junk and the number listed is disconnected. Thanks for making me late to work AND still have to worry about running out of gas on my motorcycle.
BYOG Folks! That’s right if you have your own oil rig and are capable of converting it from crude oil into gasoline I imagine you could use this shell stations pumps for convenience, but outside of that you ain’t getting no gas here! Don’t even get me started on the lack of stock inside this place I’ve got more inventory in my kitchen. Probably doesn’t help that this gas station has changed hands more than a joint at Woodstock. It takes a special kind of stupid to be one of the most recognizable brands in the fuel industry on a busy highway next to a college and still fail this miserably. Everyone who stops in your store is that much stupider just for going, I award you no points and may God have mercy on your soul.
Went to use the women's restroom. One stall was occupied, the other two had no toilet paper, one of which had a women's sanitary pad floating in it. Went to ask the cashier if there was toilet paper that I could take to the restroom and was advised there was some in the last stall so obviously she had known about it previously. There were no other customers in the building at that time. Could not believe the pure laziness....not to mention the restroom was absolutely disgusting. Wish there was a less than one star option.....
This used to be nice station, stopped in every morning on my way work. Then they changed owners, the place is straight garbage now. The place is always dirty, the employees are rude and act like they don't care and their fountain sodas are always out. Stopped in this morning and they were out of 10 out of 16. A couple of them have been out for over 4 months. It will probably be a long time before I stop again.
Went in about 5 days ago to see that the cashier was deathly sick, with no mask on, openly coughing and not even attempting to cover her mouth. And what do you know, the next day I’m sick and feel like death. There was no way she didn’t know she was contagious pretty sure it’s covid!! The most inconsiderate thing I’ve ever witnessed. Don’t come here!
Pumped gas, went in to write a check my preferred payment method at gas stations I’m not familiar with due to card number theft issues at gas stations and was told they don’t accept checks. I asked where that was posted anywhere so I would have known before pumping gas, they said “Nowhere, but people pay with a card here.” Made nonsense, but whatever. They were so pushy about me using a card, I just paid cash. Asked for a pack of cigarettes and pulled up a mobile coupon from Marlboro created for that specific gas station, included the name and address. They said they wouldn’t take it, had to be a paper coupon. I pointed out that it was a manufacturer coupon with their specific store info, still refused. Very rude, it’s convenient when we visit the casino - but from now on I’ll drive down the road to the Circle K.
