I started going there because he was the closest I could find that took state insurance. I continued reluctantly after I lost insurance. Long story short, his secretary is rude and ignorant and Dr Mack is completely brutal with his cleanings, completely unsympathetic, unavailable for emergencies and a complete hack. I had a filling done in December, came back a month later due to extreme sensitivity, he blew me off saying nothing was wrong and acted like I was making things up. Now, 6 months later I just had to have that tooth pulled after having an absess in it, and the good people at Aspen Dental in Waukesha have identified much more problems in my mouth that he didn't including two other fillings he botched. The only decent person in the place is the assistant, I feel sorry she has to work for him. But by all means, if you want an ancient Roman dentistry experience go see Dr. Mack. I myself prefer not to be in pain and value my health and life, so therefore will NEVER go back, nor recommend him to anyone aside from maybe the members of ISIS. If I wasn't so broke from paying to have his negligent work repaired I'd hire a lawyer and sue him to the point of homelessness. It's what he deserves.
Also not sure why there are so many negative reviews. I've been going there for years now and myself, or any of my family members has never had a problem. Everyone there is helpful and genuinely very nice. Dr. Mack is a great dentist, who was also able to diagnose TMJ in myself that had been underlying for quite some time. If you want a dentist with experience and a helpful atmosphere - I highly encourage going to Dr. Mack's office.
Terrible experience for my son and gave him a massive fear of dentists!! He did a filling that looked like a two year old did it and it was silver like in the 1980s. Both fillings he did were very painful and both caused problems by breaking within 3 to 6 months and I had found him a great new dentist that couldn't believe his eyes when he saw the work Dr. Hack had done! Not to mention his office is a house that looks like it's straight from the 1970s! No wonder he takes Badger Care it's the only way he would be in business. He got his degree in the 50s and probably did no continuing education! The worst dentist ever! Please save yourself and kids do not go!! I don't care if badger care covers it, you will pay double to get all his work fixed and have a fear of dentists! If I could put negative stars it would be negative 1000! They make you put 1 star!
This place is a joke. The receptionist was one of the rudest humans I have ever encountered. I use the story of her frequently when talking about horrible service. The dentist was super rough and clearly in a rush both times I was there. Thankfully I'm no longer on state insurance and forced to go to this place. If you do have to go, make sure you bring your bell-bottoms to fit in with the 60's style low-income apartment you will be waiting way too long in. And don't smile- the staff doesn't seem to know how to do that.
I had my son here taken by his mother and as soon as I saw what Dr. Hack did to his baby teeth I was extremely upset and I went to ask the so called dentist why he would drill out 3 baby teeth to the point that there was a sliver of tooth around massive crude fillings that were just nasty and the cavities were small but he wanted money from the state so he hacked up my sons teeth! Since then I have had to spend over 900 just to get rid of infections and will have to pay another 600 to have them pulled by a real dentist who asked me " who did this to him"! That's terrible he says and uncalled for! Dr hack is by far the worst dentist I have ever witnessed, rude as can be to my son and myself, should not be in practice and the only reason he is because the state pays him with badger care. He is a scam and not to mention the nights and weekends my son had to endure with pain and also a major fear of dentists! Please, please do not go here or take your children here it will end up costing you pain and way more money than it would to goto a real dentist in the first place!!! I am reporting him to the state as well as having a lawyer friend of mine take him to court to pay for the damage and pain and emotional damage! Also the receptionist is so rude she hung up on me because she knows they are shady and conning the state and unaware people. STAY AWAY I would give him negative 10000000 stars if I could. Terrible I don't know how this guy sleeps at night!
By far the absolute worst dental cleaning visit I have ever had. This man should not be practicing any more. No joke my cleaning and x-rays together took less then 6 minutes!!!!! I gave one star because it wouldn't let me give zero stars. How absolutely pathetic that he's got his own business and he treats his customers like crap- I actually grabbed the floss out of his hands and flossed myself. He was rough, useless, and a complete waste of time. I've never rated a business online before but I had to warn other potential customers!!!! Don't waste your time. Don't waste your hard earned money. This guys a joke. I've had better teach cleaning sessions at home in front of my bathroom mirror on a Tuesday night.
Not sure what all the negative reviews are about. The lady at the front desk and the dental hygienist were friendly and I had a great experience. This is a no frills, no nonsense place and I like it. Not like other dentistry practices which try to convince you to get unnecessary work done
Dr Mack and his staff are amazing. The Administrative assistant is very helpful with insurance issues. She goes above and beyond to make sure all paperwork and things are in order. His dental assistant is a very sweet lady. Im not sure why there are so many bad reviews. There is one thing everyone should know... this dentist is not willy nilly about handing out pain meds. I have been in the office when a guest has demanded more pain pills and the Administrative assistant was firm in her answer...I dont know if that has something to do with the negativity but not once has this dentist or his staff ever been rude or disrespectful in the years we have been going there. Sometimes people get what they give and the customer is not always right.
Horrible experience!! Unsanitary place! I wish I would have researched him before I went, now I have a filling on my front tooth that is BROWN!!! And very unsmooth, looks Horrible! Made me go to the bathroom to rinse my own mouth! My jaw was sore for a week afterwards. Also, very rude receptionist! NEVER GOING BACK! I could continue but will spare you the time, please avoid at all costs...
THE most efficient and thorough dental practice. Dr. Mack has a heart of gold and services those with state dental coverage. All the staff treats me with respect and I leave with my dignity intact. Thank you!!!
