Stopped in today to get my favorite turkey and Swiss/mayo on white sandwhich. Actually bought 2 of them. 1 was to share wirh my sister Tricia we last enjoyed McKenzie's 9 yrs ago. So awesome that it was just as delicious. Been a fan for 20 years! Excellent customer service was appreciated too!
It's been a while since I've been here, and I don't know if they have it anymore, but their meatloaf sandwich was killer! This was a regular stop for me when I lived in Alma. Been dreaming of the deli lately...
Great selection of beer, liquor and wine!! The sandwiches are amazing!! Made to order, with fresh baked bread. Grab a quick side like potato salad, broccoli salad, yum!
Havnt had it in years .. huge staple for my childhood tastebuds … very skeptical bc of new owners … I get it they have to raise prices blah blah blah … but don’t go changing ingredients … the pita bread was different !!! Just not the same sandwich … it’s like someone tried to clone it at there house … same phenomenal sauce on it was a plus .. it gave me a slight glimpse of the past …. Long sub ticked me right off !!! No more sesame bun … some glorified hotdog bun ….. some of the meat wasn’t the same …. Iam sure they will give the excuse bc of covid … before I moved I went there for 20 years and it never changed …I was really mad but now it’s just sad …it’s like new owners are totally not self aware that this place is a staple in the area I miss the old owner and old food
MacKenzie's is the best quick stop for a great sandwich or any alcoholic beverage you can think of. The best part is that it's a locally owned business. The owners are the sweetest couple ever!
Geez if there's one thing, I miss about Gratiot County is Mackenzie's PS. Great food at fantastic prices!!!
Love this local party store for their made to order sandwiches. Fast, courteous, and great value.
A great variety of drinks and mixes. The staff there know their products and can make excellent recommendations if they don't happen to have what you are looking for. I've heard great things about their deli. I've never been during lunchtime, though.
The sandwiches here are a MUST try! The bread is amazing and fresh! The customer service is always great and the store is always clean
Came all the way from Carson City to have their famous soup and sandwiches. We were told they won't have soup until the fall what??!! and sandwich was not made as we ordered. Ordered a HOT roast beef sandwich with pepper jack cheese, we get them home and they were not heated and had American cheese...not to mention one sandwich made with heel of bread.. Nothing more disappointing than getting home to discover what was ordered was not what we got. The dude behind the counter should listen a little closer to the orders. He asked twice what was wanted and still couldn't get it right. I won't be back for awhile, if ever. Warning to others, check your orders before you leave!!
