I loved this store when it was the May Company and it was still great when Robinson's partnered with them. Macy's was good for awhile, but the customer service one would expect from such an iconic retail establishment swiftly declined. Perhaps the store environment was no longer a match for the neighborhood demographics. Whatever the reason, it's always sad when a long time business in a neighborhood closes and/or is bought out by some discount monster. It's the end of an era.
Went here to buy a face wash that Macy's usually carries. This one doesn't have it. I bought a different brand here. Someone stole it while I was shopping. Security didn't help much. I bought another face wash and left 30 dollars short than what I normally spend on a routine trip for face wash. Terrible experience. Good customer service would have made it tolerable, but that wasn't the case.
This Macy's has now closed permanently. However, the review still applies to other Macy's stores. As with all Macy's, they have the best sales and promotions to use alongside their closeouts to make shopping for clothes so affordable. I almost enjoy shopping when I'm there!
I worked there and shopped there. Back when it was Robinson-May long time ago I know it was a good store with good service. Now all their employees are paid minimum wage and their managers should be. Soon after I started there the police showed up and arrested one of my co-workers. Turns out he was a convict on the run. That tells you how they screen new employees. Their buyers must be ex-cons because their products aren't worth what they are charging. I called the bureau of weights and measures and asked them to check the place out. They found deceptive a product advertised for one price that rings up higher pricing everywhere and fined Macys. I quit less than a year after I started and haven't returned.
I recently post-11/29 made four purchases from this store over four days online and I am now totally disgusted with Macy's. Because each of the purchases was made separately on different days each was shipped separately. The first package was delivered by the USPS. When opened, it was found to contain only packing material and an empty gift box. The expensive gift item I had purchased was gone. I immediately reported the theft of mail to the USPO and to Macy's. The USPO has shown the typical governmental lack of interest in doing anything to catch the mail thief. Macy's said they would reship and send me a confirmation email, but I have received neither a replacement for my item or the confirmation email. When I called Macy's customer service number to request a refund or reshipment and find out about the rest of my items on order I was connected to a call center in the Philippines. Unfortunately, the Macy's employee with whom I tried to speak could not speak English that I could understand. In fact, she actually gave me information about the shipment that I absolutely knew to be incorrect based on what I had received. Result: A lot of wasted time for no result. Some "Customer Service". A second shipment of my of my ordered items was just delivered by the USPS this morning. Jewelery, it came in a bubble wrapped and heat sealed Macy's mailer. When opened, it was found to contain only one of the two gold and silver items ordered. Great!! This will cost me yet more precious time wasted. Two shipments down. Two to go. I can hardly wait. Thanks for nothing Macy's!!!
I'd been going to this store and others for decades, I'm a long-time Macy's customer. I've spent lots of $$, I'm a frequent customer, even know several great store clerks by name the employees are lovely, btw. After today, I'm bringing my business to Nordstrom. Worst customer service ever on a simple return for merch I'd originally bought at a different Macy's - yes, unworn, new, tags still attached. The floor manager refused to make a return, then agreed to, then he continued to "politely" but forcefully badger me about how inconvenient it was and how I should return it to the other store. I was polite but deeply embarrassed and angered by his tactics and flawed economics. He lost money for sure. I'd originally planned to buy more items after the return. But Mr. Floor "Manager" kabotched that thought. At an obscene 24.5% interest on my Macy's card, I lose money every month. I found the same items at Nordstroms, so guess who lost a sale? And a great customer. Macy's, do the math. You're losing more than you think with these tactics.
I When to macys on Monday morning, the store was messy.there was no employees around to ask you if you needed any help .I when to check the price of a shirt to the price check machine which doesn't work . I ask employee who was passing by if there was other price check machine and she said no all machine are off because this macys is closing down, and the only way you could check the price is by going to register ,which there was only 2 open register and each one had 5 people waiting in line so I left.
Wasn't the biggest fan of this Macy's. Half of the clothes in the children's section was literally laying sprawled out on the floor. The clothes that were on the tables/shelves were disorganized and the line to actually purchase something seemed to take forever.
This is a pretty old Macy's and it does feel a bit decrepit. Came here to check out the furniture, the places was pretty dead with very little people inside. Workers seem to be attentive though.
Probably the worse macys I ever gone to . The selection on men brands are limited , and bad customer service . Wendy is probably the only person who brings life to this place . Wendy us one of the msn
