I came looking for age appropriate cologne for my teenager and was helped right away by one of the perfume associates. The store was super crowded but I was able to try several samples and be done within 10 - 15 minutes. Macy's is pretty pricey but has really good sales sometimes and the inventory is generally good quality.
I would be remiss if I did not share something that occurred today during my retail associate training at this store. During my first day training and while touring the store with one of the stores training executives, I noticed an Apple store bag hanging on the end of a clothing fixture. Mind you, I was following behind this employee who simply walked past the bag. The bag, which in no way resembled trash, appeared to be weighed down. I abruptly stopped bringing attention to the bag. Here is my disappointment, this employee, especially in a role as important as hers, tried to dismiss the bag off as trash. That's bad enough, showing no care for the presentation of the store. When she noticed my look of disapproval at her dismissing the bag, she walking over to the bag, looked inside and found a complete set of Apple, earphone's, an Apple phone and perhaps other accessories. The bag was full. Only then, did she remove the bag saying she'd take it to lost and found. She complimented my observation. We were actually on our way to loss prevention for me to be meet the staff. She even told that employee what i noticed. If the merchandise was actually recovered by the purchaser, my actions alone probably saved them thousands of dollars. Can you imagine being trained by an employee, a principal employee and showing them how to be responsible and extremely helpful. I'm African American and she was not, yet for all the wrong treatment we receive it was me, who saved the day. I'm certain no mention, no thanks from the owner of the items will come my way. How can she face me when I return. It is my expectation that these reviews are read and if I suffer any retaliation or suddenly lose my job, I'll know it was because of this review. I'm a leader, having to follow someone who doesn't know how to properly lead. It's actually quite upsetting.
My favorite place for clothing and accessories. They have top brands and beautiful merchandise. I change my mind on my purchases a lot so I recommend them for their easy return policy
It's a large store, so I cant imagine the potential isn't there. The men's section was in complete disarray, which I'm going to chalk up to the holidays having passed even though that was nearly a month ago Still, it was impossible to distinguish what was what, the entire section looked like a clearance aisle that hadnt been paid attention to in far too long. The store seems like it has potential, unfortunately it was a mess during my visit.
Bathroom thank you. 2nd floor men and ladies...back right wall.. not corner...it's not in the middle. It's not in the corner...it is on the right... against the wall... back of store 2nd floor ...enjoy => very clean. Just nicer than target...
No furniture. Just mattresses. Don’t waste your time also.
Alma and April in kids department helped me. Both of them very nice and helpfull. Also Hariet their manager, very active and always ready to help.
This review is specifically for the signage in the women's coat area. I was trying to get my wife a coat she's been eyeing for some time now. I saw the sign that read 65% off, this would've been great for our budget that we have set. But when scanned at the register, it was only 50%. The young lady didn't honor the sign even after I went to take a picture of the sign. She said she couldn't do anything about it. So Macy's, what's the point of putting up the signs if you're not going to honor it. Or is Macy's just ignoring the Federal Trade Commission good price practice by signing one offer at the rack but overcharging at the register. UPDATE: After posting this on my Facebook page and on Macy's page. James at Macy's asked if I spoke with the manager. My reply: I did not speak with the manager. First, I waited to pay by the shoe department. They sent me to another register where there was no one there. Waited a few minutes. Then, another associate said I could pay at customer service. After I showed the young lady the picture, she just turned the screen my way, showed me the price that was ringing up and said that the signage just gets left up and they're not always correct. If the manager is OK with all of this, it seems like there was no point to speaking with the manager. So he asked to private message. We'll see what this leads to.
I went Christmas shopping today. This Macy's is a true disappointment. The clothing departments are a mess. Clothing thrown and tossed everywhere. I went to look for towels and they were just rolled up and crammed into the shelves. The perfume dept was so overflowing with display that it was not applealing. My favorite was always going into their ornament and Christmas display department and the single tree was half decorated with a product crammed on the table next to it. What happened to the crystal, china and beautiful displays? It's like you just don't care. Macy's you can do better than this. Unless you really would prefer people to not shop there. I was so overwhelmed I left.
Horrible service the store was disaster . I wanted to buy Dior, nobody was there at the Dior counter. The cloths were on the floor. The floor was dirty . It was a nightmare. So I went to customer service and the guy told me that they have no sales people on the floor. So I put back all what I wanted to buy and left . And I don't think that I will waste my time and go there at all.
